Apple Watch Pre-Orders Now Shipping for April 24 Delivery

It's entertaining and exciting to watch the hysteria regarding the watch shipments. I'm puzzled by the anger of people who have to wait a few weeks. It's just a watch.

That being said, mine is being delivered tomorrow.

Still stuck in"Processing Order"

Credit card hasn't been billed and the order I received an e-mail confirmation at 1210 AM on Friday 4/10 still shows "Processing Order" for 42 mm Sport with a pink band.

Wondering why all these folks who were initially getting May and June orders are jumping the queue...

Is it coming by UPS? If so, you can sign up for My Choice free on their website and can give delivery instructions that way. Or you can pick it up Saturday morning from the UPS facility.

Yeah,I have My Choice. My default option is "leave at side door behind gate" ....then I usually call my neighbors kid to put it in my garage. We'll see... Like you said,worst case I'll get it Saturday morning.

From everything I am seeing on the forums and comments on Facebook, the issue seems to be centered around the 42 Space Gray with Black Sports band. I am not seeing anyone with this watch who has seen any movement on their order. That just happens to be the one I ordered within 2 minutes of the pre-order. I also received the email last night, so I am assuming it will not arrive for launch day.

Ya ordered the same one, my order status is "preparing for shipment" and I did not receive the email, but I have no tracking number yet. At this point I have no idea if I'm getting it tomorrow, but it is kind of stupid how the 4-6 week white bands are getting shipped, yet us 4/24-5/8 black band customers are getting hung out to dry...

Does this REALLY say that "all" customers should have their tracking numbers? Haha. I received my preorder conformation at 2:06 (central), which means I ordered minutes before that. MacRumors apparently isn't following its own comment sections, and hasn't noticed that most 42MM SS BSB preorders (the people who ordered within minutes of the preorders going live) haven't gotten a single thing yet.

Apple has let me down. I will not be the first to receive the watch, and it seem they are hell bent on making sure I don't receive it until a month after the so-called launch.

Over the past few weeks it's been funny watching people get their knickers in a twist because they can't get their hands on a gadget for a few more weeks - a gadget that they've managed without their entire lives thus far..

Absolutely true (though I wouldn't characterise it as funny, more they're just wildly annoying), and so many others actually taking umbrage with Apple for no reason at all, this product is incredible because it has the power to turn people into juveniles and trolls.

With all the rest, though, it's exciting reading their posts and seeing their enthusiasm about this product, I just love Apple's new product launches (and deliveries!). Even if I'm not one of the first to order or receive, I enjoy them immensely.

I woke up to this message. I live in Ohio and it is on the way from Harrisburg, PA for delivery tomorrow.

It's a bit of an overreaction to say "hung out to dry" if you still get within the window promised. For all you know it will arrive Monday or Tuesday next week.

I ordered the exact one, 42mm Space Gray with Black band, and woke up this morning with the best notification I ever got on my iPhone: Your order is shipping!!!!

So it didn't happen to everyone...

I have a may delivery date, and i've received nothing, not even an email when i pre-ordered on April 10th.

the kicker is, i ordered at about 1600 GMT when preorders went live i think 0800 GMT? just how ****ed am i, anyone know?

ss 38mm black sports band, as you can see, so probably popular. will i REALLY have to wait until the time they told me??

Mine is still processing. 38mm black Apple Watch Sport order placed through the iOS app with  Pay. I received my email order confirmation 2:04am CST with an April 24 - May 8 estimated date. I also received that "we're working on it" email last night. That really was pointless.

I don't understand why some developers received opportunities to get one early, and others, with the best delivery estimates, are now getting left behind.

How exactly are you being left behind? You were told 24th April to 8th May, and that's till the case.

If they said "You will get your watch on the 24th", then changed their minds and others who ordered later leap frogged you, I could see how you may be mildly disappointed. But the fact is it's right on schedule; even if it's delivered on the 8th of May (which they are well within their rights to).

And I'm glad developers got an opportunity - they're the ones who will really make the cool things happen. I don't want thin dev support for the Apple Watch like you see with Android Wear which has nowhere near the dev traction - yet it was released much earlier.

I ordered at 8:02 in the UK received the confirmation at 8:03 and still processing.

It's really tough seeing others posting their pending arrivals when your still stuck in limbo. I'm flying to China on Saturday so now won't get mine for at least another week.

It's just that for every Apple product, from the 128K Mac to the iPhone 6, I've been able to get my hands on them on day one. Mac, Newton, iPod, iMac, iPhone, virtually every product.

This time, I did everything right, stayed up till 3AM, got my order (42 Milanese) set to be delivered in the first slot, and... no first day for me. It bothers me because it breaks a three-decade streak! I'll try to live through it.
