The poster didn't know that the only reason they are unhappy because of the Apple litigation. Thank you for confirming that what the poster claimed was incorrect - they are unhappy for a multitude of reasons. Regardless, their unhappiness is not germane to Masimo trying to work with Apple for years before filing suit. Had Apple replied, the cost of litigation would not be there.

Has the class action lawsuit been filed yet for people who were duped into buying a device that Apple later gimped?

Well I bought the Apple Watch Ultra II when it was briefly for sale recently . I noticed an increase in brightness & battery, so I’m good. Traded in last years model and got a good price for it. 😉

FWIW; having owned altimeter watches in the 90’s the Apple ultra watch is not so big / huge ..

I actually worked with the chief engineer on the watch, the new left one was a prototype with 3 foot vertical resolution versus the 5 foot resolution my bought one had. I rode many trails with both and shared the diff vert feet of the trail with my subjective feelings of the ride difficulty.

Which makes me wonder:
What is the Apple Watch vertical resolution in feet?

Ha, one of my 1997 out west ski trips with the watch.. good times

That's what I think might be happening behind the scenes. The CEO, if I had to guess from everything I've read, has been hoping for a huge windfall victory from Apple, and has refused to negotiate in good faith. Which has harmed Masimo shareholders. This is why the CEO put in the poison pill, so that Apple would have to eat a huge payment directly to the CEO, taking that money away from the shareholders. Thus the institutional investors in Masimo are angry. But that's a lot of speculation still on my part.
Yet you keep repeating it as if it's fact...

You have literally zero clue what they are asking for, knock it off 🙄
I know that whatever they were asking for it was more than the several hundred million dollars, reputational hit and legal fees that Apple has been willing to take instead of paying what they were asking. And, my opinion is not based on nothing. I've read the legal cases and have noted the "value" that the Masimo CEO is attributing to a watch with the pulse oximeter and the watch without. I'm confident that I'm in the ballpark. If it were an easy licensing deal, like Apple has with many many companies, Apple would not be taking the hits they are taking. They'd have gladly signed off.

You know nothing and you’re entire argument is based on assumptions.
