As far as watches go Apple watches really aren't that expensive. Used they will probably go for half retail. I really don't think there will be anything to worry about unless you are getting an edition or happen to come across one of us with June preorders lol. They would much more likely go after rolexes and those types of watches. I wouldn't leave it around charging or anything but I don't anticipate muggings. It would be cool if it couldn't be activated for any updates or changes unless released by the iPhone it was paired with.

Quite right, although I think 'enjoy quietly' and not flaunting it until it's seen more commonplace and/or until there are sensible lockouts is still sensible.

One thing I remember about my GMT-II was that I bought it at £2,180.. it's worth over £5K now .. but, the style has been copied so much I could wear it anywhere if I dressed down and nobody would suspect. The AW is very distinctive though.

Yep I agree I'm worried about if I had to leave it laying around charging at work or something like that. It's definitely a good discussion to have expecially since most of the things I'd want to do to lock it down would become pretty inconvenient. So it's a good balancing act.
