This right here. If Apple is too cheap to pay for what is legit someone’s IP, then no dice. Talk about greed Tim Crook. No functioning o2 sensor on the AWU 3? No buy!

I set up my Sleep Focus so it only allows notifications from my wife (who, if she's away, wouldn't be calling or texting me during that time unless it was an emergency) - everything else is blocked. Turn that on before I go to bed and I get no notifications through the night. That's a good idea. I charge mine overnight but I'm going to try your strategy. Pretty much all sleep scientists talk about the benefits of a wind-down time before going to bed so, over and above having sufficient charge to wear it overnight, not having your watch on pinging you with Messages/WhatsApp/etc alerts and notifications in the hour or so before bedtime sounds like an extra benefit to me.
Apple could acquire the company, give itself irrevocable patent licenses, and sell or split up the company. We’ve all been frustratingly saying that Apple should just pay up, but we also don’t know the terms of the other company. They could be completely unreasonable.
Or if they are waiting till the 11th hour and can push a software update to re enable the feature as the hardware is still capable.Apple could acquire the company, give itself irrevocable patent licenses, and sell or split up the company.
That Apple haven’t licensed, or acquired, makes me wonder if the patents in question are about to expire.
I know it’s cadence but it’s a right nightmare when running on the spot. According to the watch my heart rate is over 150bpm when in the real world it’s 85-90bpm.That's called cadence lock, and I've found it to be a lot bigger problem on Garmin watches than Apple Watches. I wore both the Garmin Forerunner 935 and Fenix 6, both of them suffered from cadence lock so badly that I had to wear a chest strap while running with them or they were essentially useless most of the time. The Fenix was a little better than the 935, but it was still unreliable. I've never had a problem with it on my AW8 in two years of wearing it for workouts.
Or if they are waiting till the 11th hour and can push a software update to re enable the feature as the hardware is still capable.
Either way, not my problem. You put a feature out, and if it’s gone, so is my interest Apple. It’s a valuable feature for so many reasons.
Just charge up the iWatch before going to bed.How would sleep apnea work when the majority probably charge the watch overnight
They did it since January when it was removed. So clearly they will continue to do it and people keep buying them up. Probably unaware of it too.How are they going to charge the same price for less features…taking out a vital feature like that (no pun intended) should warrant Apple lowering the price out of good faith.
Ultra 1 and Ultra 2 are/were both 799$. There has been no rumour whatsoever that Ultra 3 will be 100 $ more expensive.
Because the design is timeless? In 2014 I bought the first model and after ten years it still has the exact same design. I think it's really ridiculous
I have Samsung Galaxy Ultra and AW Ultra 2 LTE 49mm. From battery perspective, AWU2 is really excellent it lasts easily two days. But it can't sleep deduct, automatically like Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra. SGWU battery life is slightly better than SGW Classic 47mm LTE(I have this as well which is strictly lasts only 36 hrs Max) , but nothing great like AWU2.I’ve always wondered why Apple Watch battery life isn’t as good as the competition. Does anyone know why they can get theirs to last for multiple days, but the AW lasts around a day and a half?
Same, works just fine on my AWU2 in the UK. Apple better not decide to disable the feature worldwide on the next models because Apple are too cheap to pay to use it.No, I have AWU2 49mm LTE, in my country Blood Oxygen is working.
I’ve been able to be uninterrupted since AWU. Thinking this may be my last Apple Watch.I guess we'll find out next Monday.
Yeah, I just can't see them making the smaller one larger. At least I hope not.AW10 will come in 42mm and 46mm sizes. This article (and all the ones before it) are done with minimal effort in regards to research.
Where’s the fun in that ?People could just wait until Monday rather than speculating.
Really? iPhone came out in 2007 and basically still has the same design, a rectangular slab…In 2014 I bought the first model and after ten years it still has the exact same design. I think it's really ridiculous
Your comment made me curious so I looked it up. Interesting 🤔Apple could acquire the company, give itself irrevocable patent licenses, and sell or split up the company.

I wish me gaining weight was the cause of my sleep apnea. Since I was diagnosed last summer, I’ve changed my diet and exercise more. I’ve lost 47lbs and sadly I’m still dependent on my cpap machine. I’m pushing for another sleep study, to see if I could go without, but I doubt I can. I went 2 days without my machine and it has taken almost a week to get over the excessive daytime sleepiness.
As someone who recently had his AW7 replaced (thanks Apple Care+) because it stopped working after a short swim in the sea, I think water resistance can be improved too.Water resistance I believe is largely a non-issue but operating the thing while swimming is a real pain. Maybe the Ultra with its action button solves this but it‘s simply impossible to start/stop activities with wet fingers.
