Not complaining at all. Just commenting on what I observe. Every single day of the year it's a rag on Apple.
It was a comment with a complaint followed by an assumption of people who complain about Apple must have a sad life.

I make comments about what I observe about Apple. And my observation is that really nothing much is coming from a multibillion dollar company other than some new colors, watchbands, usb-c connections and some minor tweaks here and there.

I observe that the standard iPhone 16 still comes with a 60 hz refresh rate and observe that it’s not common for a modern mobile phone with a hefty price tag to use those old specifications.

I also observe that those new phones come with a meager 8 GB and express my concerns about being able to use future iterations of iOS because of it.

My observations that every iPhone before the iPhone 15 pro (one year old) aren’t capable of running the full capabilities of iOS 18 because of lack of sufficient RAM. So my concerns are high about 8 GB being enough for next year’s capabilities.

I’m also observing that other brands are coming with 16 GB RAM as a standard for their midrange/higher end phones.

My observations make me comparing. I think it’s always good to compare when spending money.

My comparisons make me observe that Apple is charging not a little but very much more for technology thats inferior (older) compared to competing brands.

Apple’s higher prices were justified for their ease of use and interoperability between devices in the past. Today every brand has its own (open) ecosystem with the same and often even better possibilities Apple has to offer.

Why not go to the other side then? Well, I’ve made heavy investments in Apple and don’t have enough money to replace my AW, MacBook Pro, iMac, iPhone, Apple TV (not to mention all the cables that aren’t compatible with industry standards) at once.

Apple put lots of efforts that once you’re in their ecosystem it’s hard to get out. Fortunately the EU noticed and are taking actions by forcing Apple to use industry standard connections (USB-C) and making things interchangeable (iMessage, AppStore) for a more fair playing field and to prevent misuse of power.

Above observations have started to erode my trust in Apple. Together with my observations of overcharging and lag of hard- and software changes (or very slow progress of these) made me starting to complain about certain aspects of Apples behavior.

Now I’m voting with my wallet and I really hope more people will do because this would be the only reason to stop this behavior and to push them back into the direction Apple once was. A company that pushed the threshold in technology in a good way instead of becoming a lazy money grabbing institute it is now.

Huawei watches already have those blood oxygen measurements approved by the health industry. They’ve a healthcare laboratory in Finland which is highly accepted in the healthcare industry.
Thanks for the education, good to know Huawei do have some legitimacy in the tech sphere.

Sounds like you're ready to move on and reward a different tech company with your currency. Congratulations! Seriously.

With respect to more people doing that, I've yet to see *evidence* of that occurring. Most people, I suspect, are not on a mission to stop Apple's behavior.

Good luck in your quest!
