For some reason, as big of an Apple nerd that I am, I have not pre-ordered anything Apple in quite some time. For the past couple of years I have always just waited till like a day or two after to go to the store and buy an iPhone. So for the life of me, I can not remember what time Apple pre-orders open. So, what time on Friday are the pre-orders for the Apple Watch Series 2 going to open? I am finally going to pull the trigger and buy one to replace my Pebble Time. Is it 3 AM EST like I have been hearing?

Oh fun, now I either have to wake up in the middle of the night or risk not getting it the 16th, damn them!

just a FYI if you are doing pre-orders... use the apple store app.. its the quickest method to order and they usually open the pre-orders there first before the website does.

I think it depends on where you live...
When the last ATV was released, i had gift cards... had to use them in-store (i live in France).

Are all of the watch models going up for preorder at that time? My wife wants the Nike one and I want to make sure that I get it for her right when it comes out. If it's not until the end of October then that'll only be a week before our 11 year anniversary and I want to have this on lock since she's gotten back into running (and really wants this).

I believe all models will be up for pre order tomorrow. As far as when each watch ships, Nike will be in October while the regular watches start sooner.

I finally got the bosses approval to get the black SS with link. Told her if I wore the first gen every day and enjoyed the watch that I would get a nice one on the next generation and that time has come! I think that I will either try to force myself to stay awake playing video games or set an alarm for like 230 and start pushing refresh. I already have my cart set up on the apple store app, just wish I could get my new iPhone using the app and still get it free using my plan through tmobile but instead I have to stay up to order from apple and stay up to get through to tmobile.
I know a location that always has launch day phones but I really want the shiny black 128gb one and I don't want to take my chances by not preordering exactly what I want. Only reason I am getting an iPhone this year is because it is free through tmobile and the baseline phone is 32gb now. I am used to 128gb though so I am going to stick with that for like $100 i think it is to bump up a tier.
The app is the way to go. Used it and ordered my Al 42mm silver w/woven band before the web store was even up. ;^)
