I got the same email from Apple, but the watch doesnt show up in my support profile yet. And, I've gotten a second departure scan from Korea. I dont know where it is at this point. Makes no sense.

Short version of the trip:

Origin scan
Left factory
Arrived at airport
Passed through customs
Departed China
Updated in transit
Updated in transit
Arrived in Alaska
Arrived in Korea
Departed Korea
Departed Korea again 4 hours later

Has anyone used the UPS MyChoice to change their delivery to pickup at UPS?

Just assuming that it will sit there and not go out on the truck in the early AM and that I can pick it up whatever time of day that I can?
I did. And I almost always do for valuable packages, since I work <1 mile from the main UPS CC in Cincinnati. As long as you request the hold before it arrives in the destination city, it should not go out on the truck. Mine was ready for pick-up last Friday when the UPS CC opened at 8:30 AM. If you wait till the last minute, it may go out on the truck and be placed on hold when it gets back.

I got that email too. Kind of hard to schedule an appointment when you don't have a scheduled delivery date. ;)

When I do, I will likely take advantage of the offer since I'm new to the watch.

I depends. You need to submit the change at least a day before delivery. Also it depends on where you select the hold. If you select the hold at the distribution center it may be available in the morning on the day of delivery (it doesn't go out on the final delivery truck). If you select a location that is not the distribution center it goes out on the truck and gets to the location at any point of the day.

My SS SB 42mm got moved up from Oct 3-7 to shipped on Sep 17. It seems to be in Anchorage for real this time, on flight from Narita. Same flight continues into Louisville (UPS hub) and should be there shortly after midnight. Hopefully this means delivery tomorrow, but UPS hasn't committed to that yet.

My watch was originally supposed to arrive today, but my delivery was changed to something similar to yours. It went from Shanghai to Anchorage, back to Shanghai, then to Korea. It is back in Anchorage now with no scheduled delivery. Still says in transit. I'm optimistically hoping for delivery tomorrow.

Something purporting to be my watch was just scanned in Alaska, again....We shall see how this round goes....

How are you guys finding all of these time stamps of where the watch is and when it gets delivered? I am using the tracking method on UPS and am using my phone number as a reference number and it isn't pulling up anything. Am I not doing it right? Currently on Apple I can't cancel or modify the order and it is "Preparing for shipment"

Mine did the same thing, about 23 hours after it first showed-up in Alaska. Sure wish I could get some of his frequent flyer miles. My watch took the Shanghai to Incheon to Anchorage route. If nothing else it's provided for some good geography lessons with my boys.

My watch was scheduled for delivery today as well

See if your watch has been added to My support on the Apple Site. If it has been, try using the serial number in UPS My Choice. It will not come up in the tracking box, but then select use another reference and put in just the serial number and try again. You can also try your order number minus the last 2 digits, but that didn't work for me.

I never got a reference number to work...Had to wait for a tracking number.

*edit 2* I just tried my order number minus the last 2 digits and this is what it showed:

Got the 42 SBSS AW2 with Milanese band today. It was the last AW in Knoxville according to the store. It will arrive at my house in Auburn, AL Thursday. My Apple Store order was still processing as of this morning.

Looks good. Label created. As soon as it ships you'll get e-mail from apple. It's in the UPS system and should ship soon. Your watch will probably show up in My Support soon also.
