Apple Watch Series 2 Pre-Orders! Shipping Estimates, Order Time and Everything Pre-Order

So my son wants a Series 2 42mm SS with classic brown strap and AppleCare for his birthday.
I placed the order this morning at 8.30 and it said 3-4 weeks delivery.
He checked the status just now and it's gone to "PFD" already and my cards been debited!!!
Apples order times are all over the place

There's always a point of crossover. Chances are there aren't enough stock of the Watch to bump the delivery times. It usually has to be above a certain threshold, else more people could order than they have to ship.
 
After a month of waiting, my Series 2 has finally shipped. Ordered on 9/23, shipped 10/22. Expected delivery 10/27.

Ordered from Apple. Series 2 42mm Aluminum SG w/ Black sport band.
 
It's insane to see how delayed some of these watches are. I just saw two Series 2 Space Greys sitting in the case at Target while some are still waiting a month to receive it. I don't normally order online and now I think I know why...

However, there doesn't seems to be a S2 SS 38mm anywhere. Did they only make 100 of them? Doesn't make sense...

Ordered the other day, a 42mm Series 2 Silver Aluminium with Nylon strap, with AppleCare+. Current delivery time is 3-4 weeks here in the U.K. :(

Ordered the same watch here in the US and the wait time is the same. I really hope we don't have to actually wait that long.
 
Still surprised it's a month wait for one of these. I guess being in an instant society we forget how to be patient. Was only able to get one as I got a bonus from work. So I thought I'd treat myself :) At least it means I can ask for some accessories for Christmas!

Ordered 42mm Space Grey Series 2 with Black Sport Band on 1st October with estimated ship of between 3-4 weeks and a delivery between 31st Oct and 7th Nov.

Shipped today, should be with me on Friday :D

So much for that! The "delivers date" went from the 28th to 30th then, as of this morning, I get a message that says "We were unable to load the package on the plane as schedule" and the Delivery Date changed to "Information Unavailable". :mad:

So far the watch has gone from China to Korea to Hong Kong. :confused:
 
omg i dont even know what's going on with mine. I got one delivered last wednesday but it was DOA. So I dropped it off at UPS on friday, the replacement went into processing on saturday, and the replacement finally went into PFS yesterday evening and "shipped" this morning.

But now:

WTF. Is anyone else seeing this? Am I ever going to get it? It was supposed to ship expedited and be here for Monday. But within ten minutes, I got this message.

Oh - i ordered a 38mm SS Series 2 AW with White Sports Band. Will be delivered to Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Mine must be on the same plane, with the same "rescheduled delivery" info. Mine was supposed to be delivered 10/31 but Apple now shows 11/2.

I finally got my Apple Watch 42 mm Stainless Steel (Space Black) with the Milanese Loop (Space Black). It's awesome. Just completed the Watch OS 3.1 update and that took forever. Now I'm setting up my watch faces. Then I will install apps on my Watch so that I can fully enjoy it. What a great piece of tech, this little thing can do everything.

So I get a text and an email from apple today regarding my watch. They both say it's been shipped, but since today is the day of the event I can't go through the store to track it. :mad::rolleyes: :(
