My Order Status page on Verizon says expected ship date 9/22
I called them today and the CSR said it says it won't ship until the 22nd and be here Monday or Tuesday... If this is true I'm going to be pretty irritated... The e-mail even says "Deliver by 09/22/2017" and so did their website when I ordered it.
Is this standard for Verizon to show the wrong ship date on preorders?
I got through on their online Chat and that rep said: "Amy: this the generic response and it will ship in the order you order it." - trying to decipher that grammar makes me think that the 9/22 ship date is generic and is incorrect?
This is good to know, thanks! This is the first time I've ever tried preordering through Verizon vs. through Apple and it's pretty convoluted, their system wouldn't process my payment and I ended up having to go through PayPal and now this ship date debacle...
If you pre-ordered with Verizon right away when the pre-orders started - your shipping information will say "expected ship date by 9/22". Don't worry. It will come on Friday. Just relax.
I've pre-ordered Apple stuff many times through Verizon and every year it's the same way. The CSR's rarely know what the "beep" they are talking about.
I assure you, it will arrive on Friday. (IF you pre-ordered right at go-live)
