Apple Watch Series 3 Pre-Order Thread

I called Abt and they said I am #4 in the queue, and still only 16 watches have been ordered. I truly hope they come before the end of October.
Check Best Buy too. I think they just got a shipment because 2 stores near me that had nothing this morning now have SS watches for pickup today.
I ordered the watch over the phone with one of their sales people and the guy told me he's excepting them to come by the end of October.
Best Buy surprisingly had day one stock of the Nike + Apple Watch S3 LTE. No preorder, just ordered through the app yesterday morning about 11:30am for instore pickup. Very surprised.
Glad it worked for you. I did the same thing but my dates stayed the same - 11/22-12/13. At least it didn’t get any later. I was just really hoping it would move up!!
For those tracking where Apple is on their orders, I ordered from Apple on 9/16 in the evening with a projected delivery of 10/16-10/23. Card charged and switched to preparing for shipment on Thursday night or early Friday morning. Now waiting for it to actually ship.
Thanks for the info! I got online and 2 stores locally had 42mm SS/LTE, so I was able to order online for store pickup! Totally stoked and just got done canceling my other orders, so hopefully someone else out there will benefit from my cancellation.

Anyone know how accurate Best Buy in store pickup is? I got a SS for in store pickup. It said available for pickup tomorrow. Order status is preparing. It's a pretty far drive for me (3hours). I know I will wait for the ready for pickup email but I'm just wondering if anyone had any issues.

From my back experience, I’ve never had an issue. But do call and make sure before you go. Lol.

I ordered from Apple on 9/19 with expected delivery date of 10/17-24. But since the Nike+ model is the same, yesterday I ordered it from one of the local Apple Stores and picked it up, then I cancelled my online order. The only negative is that I wanted the Sport Loop band and the Nike+ came with the sport band and they wouldn't switch it out. I already have a cheap clone of that band.
I've already went out without my phone and it was great. The Series 3 is way faster than my Series 0. I'm looking forward to how it does on battery life.
Hope that works out for me. Due 10/24-10/30 and if it doesn’t come a bit earlier will have to cancel since I’ll be gone 10/26 for a week (and no one to sign for it)—and will have to start over in another queue.
Most couriers give you an option to leave a signature sheet on your door and they'll leave it (a form they have on their website). Provided you're in an area this could sit securely for awhile until you have a friend or neighbour pick it up?
Seems awful to lose your place in line!
Edit: Ooh! You could get a PO box, no? Make sure the courier would be willing to deliver to the post office (explain to them your situation), then you change your delivery option to the PO box (only rent it for a month...should be pretty cheap). Then one of the folks at the post office would sign for it when it arrived.
Apple finally shipped mine and it says it’s suposed to deliver today except ups says this
- The package is awaiting clearing agency review. / The package is at the clearing agency awaiting final release
I woke up to a message that my 38MM SS White sports band ordered 10/16 moved from preparing to ship to shipped. One text says delivery will be 10/12 while the other sars 10/13. Originally expected 10/16-10/23. It went to preparing to ship sometime yesterday evening.

That just means it's clearing Customs. Anything coming into the US from Abroad has to go through Customs.
Kinda sucks but at least it shipped right... wasn’t due till the 17-24.. so they are head of schedule...
Yes, it does, but remember it also has to clear customs in China before export. Think Apple's US Customs brokers are in their distribution centre in Tennessee? (but we also saw during iPhone releases some shipments get cleared in Alaska - heh).
