Yeah mine shows an export scan as of 10/11 2:55 PM Shanghai time. I have a feeling they are just piling these orders up waiting to fill an entire plane then sending them all at once. UPS has my delivery as 10/16 and Apple has it as 10/17 so UPS has lots of wiggle room with my order at least.

Piling up the orders and fill the entire plan is not a smart thing to do. I am sure they must have thousands of other packages as well

Hi everyone, first time Apple Watch buyer, long-time lurker here. Ordered my watch (42mm SS GPS + cellular w/ Milanese Loop) on 9/17 from Apple. Have been reading this forum and checking the shipping status of my order daily since then.

I was excited to see that on Monday 10/9 my order finally shipped. The Apple site shows estimated delivery of 10/16 but the UPS site has consistently said delivery on 10/13.

But, on the UPS site, the shipping details don't show any activity since 10/10. It looks like it was put into the system at 10:06 a.m. ET on 10/9 in China. It then left Suzhou, China and arrived in Shanghai the morning of 10/9. There are lines in the history that talk about awaiting clearing agency review, but the last thing is an export scan on 10/10 at 9:52 a.m.

Here's my question: Anyone else seeing anything like this? I've ordered many products from Apple before that have originated in China. I've been surprised at how quickly those showed up after shipping. This most recent shipment seems to have gone into a black hole for 2 day.

Same exact scenario as you right now. Mine has listed as Export Scan completed since 10/10. I even show the same conflicting delivery estimates as you.

Here is my update:

I ordered my Hermes Apple Watch 38mm Marine Gala Single Tour Eperon D'Or on 10/6 with a delivery date of 10/16 from Apple and 10/13 from UPS. Considering it’s still in Japan though, I’ll be lucky to see it on Monday the 16th. I’m not sure why it needed clearance as I was under the impression that Apple’s products shipped from China are cleared for customs.

I have the same exact route but mine is still in Japan and it says exception. I also thought the same that they are supposed to be cleared from China. And mine is shipped via FedEx. Your history looks like it’s of UPS.

Here' Mine:

Shanghai, China 10/11/2017 2:55 P.M. Export Scan
Shanghai, China 10/10/2017 9:03 P.M. Arrival Scan
10/10/2017 8:38 A.M. The package is awaiting clearing agency review. / The package is at the clearing agency awaiting final release.
Suzhou, China 10/10/2017 8:03 P.M. Departure Scan
10/10/2017 7:24 P.M. Origin Scan
China 10/10/2017 4:28 A.M. (ET) Order Processed: Ready for UPS

New update for mine:

Shanghai, China 10/12/2017 11:34 P.M. Your package is in transit. We're updating plans to schedule your delivery.

It it's still in China right now, I don't think there's any way it will be at my house tomorrow before 2 p.m. like UPS is currently reporting.

All of these "My Watch is in XYZ" do nothing for the forum unless specifics are also included such as date of order, expected date of delivery and which watch was ordered. That would be sooooo much more helpful rather than "My watch is coming today".

That time stamp would have been yesterday morning here. As you already had your export scan, it was likely deferred to go on another plane. Next update may be from the landing point in the US. (provided they're not stopping elsewhere to pick up cargo - as we've seen several flights stop in Japan).

That would explain the Japan customs clearance guys - not YOUR watches, but other cargo loaded on that plane in Japan had to clear local customs (holding up the entire shipment).

Last UPS status for mine also shows 10/11 Shanghai - Export Scan and nothing has been updated since.

Still says expected delivery date is Monday!

So close....yet so far :(

mine says 7:40am, maybe yours was one of the last ones that was able to be fulfilled until next stock comes in :(

I think your week is definitely next week! I spoke to a rep last week and they said another shipment was coming in on the 18th. He also said people receive their watches way before the ESD.

Just like a lot of you, I have a rescheduled delivery as my package has been in Shanghai for 3 or 4 days. I called UPS and a lady put me on hold then came back and told me that these shipments have been on hold because China had a week-long holiday of some kind. So there were several days with no workers. Just our luck, I guess...

There's a lot more green for stainless steel Series 3 watches on the iStockNow map right now than there's been since its release. Happy shopping!

There was national holidays from October 1-8, but how that effected shipments after those dates is hard to understand when we had export scans after the 8th. I have to think UPS is using that as an excuse. UPS should have been able to let us know that before today. This would have eliminated some of the frustration we are all feeling after seeing the export scan, then seeing no movement.

Ordered 42mm silver with seashell sport band from at&t (ordered 9/17). It's pretty much been saying 10-27 delivery since order.

Just got notification that I'll be receiving it tomorrow. I do live in Texas though so it makes sense since it's shipping from fort worth.

It's here! 38mm SS white sport band. Ordered 9/16/17. I usually am not a fan of the color white, but I already have a black sport band. Actually I kind of like the white band. It's been nice visiting with you all. I have to go play with my new toy. I hope the rest of you don't have to wait too much longer. I know the pain.
