No guarantee of EKG next yr. or that watch form will change. If you want an Apple Watch, get it. Let next yr take care of itself. Life’s too short.

I bought my first AW 3LTE 3 month ago and buy one any time a newer one comes out, and sell the older one,
the reason I bought the AW is for the medical capability

I think the major innovation this September and for several months beyond that will be functional bands. By that, I mean bands that provide additional functionality and interact directly with the watch either through an improved form of Bluetooth, or the existing data port. These bands could provide additional battery, larger display, additional sensors for items like sugar, levels in the blood and better detection of heart incidents. I expect these bands to cost $75 to 200 each. A couple would be announced in September with additional bands coming out every three or four months. The third party manufacture and sale of bands could also greatly increase.

This would allow Apple to deal with the fact that the Series 3 is such a capable watch and the Series 4 will be even better, that many customers will not want to upgrade their watch for two to three years. However, they might be eager to spend half as much money per unit to buy new, more capable bands every few months or at least once a year.

I agree these type of band advancements are coming . Apple actually had a patent filed not that long ago for something similar with the battery powered band. However, we all know patents are not indicative of something that could be an actual product. That said, if the health advancements are more vast for the Series 4, then perhaps more advanced bands are to follow.

If it was this September it would certainly give Apple something to work on with a Series 4 feature, I will definitely be updating this year in September. I hope we see more advanced health features it would be a great selling point for a lot of people.

Think I will only upgrade if it’s a new design or features that are worth it...

Nah who am I kidding I will likely upgrade lol

Think will stick with Nike Watch though. Don’t think SS is worth paying all that money for when I upgrade so often

I’m looking to update from my Series 0 so it will be a big update for me. I’m just hoping we hear some rumours about what Series 4 will include, last years selling feature was the LTE of Series 3 I just wonder what this year will have.

I’ll be looking to get the SS version however I will probably look at the black SS because I’ve heard it’s more durable than my current silver SS which has gained a few scratches over the last couple of years.

I really like my Series 2 Apple Watch, EXCEPT for the abysmal battery life. These bands would fix what (to me) is the most glaring fault of Apple watches (ie: the absolute worst battery life of all smart watches).

Please, Apple make these battery watch bands.

I realize that some people don't mind the short battery life, but I use my Apple watch ONLY when charging my 2 preferred smart watches (every 7 days for one, and 11 days for the other). At the end of one day, Apple Watch goes back in the closet until next charging of the other 2 smart watches nearly 3 weeks later. The Apple Watch is much more capable than the other 2, but I have to turn nearly everything off to get still unacceptable battery life. When the Apple Watch, with everything turned off, has to be charged nearly every day, that just ruins the experience for me. For instance, I can use it for sleep tracking every other day, but not several days in a row.

Please, please, please make these battery watch bands!
