Can we actually wear it like a normal wrist watch, or do we need to keep it sheathed in plush so it won't get scratched or stained ?

Which one is more scratch and ding resistant? Need a Jerry Rig Everything test. Weight difference, on the other hand, is insignificant for such a small device.

I’m not sure why the Ti is an Edition model and the SS is not. Boosts the AppleCare price considerably..

You answered your own question.

Yes - $149 for three years of AppleCare+ is more than $79 for two years of AppleCare+.

I think the better choice at this point in time, unless you really think you'll be keeping it three years, is to go with the $5/mo AC+ -- which is of course more expensive than the $4/mo AC+ -- but anyone who that's gonna make noticeable difference to is likely not considering the titanium model.

If you're going to wear it working on a car or something it's probably not the right choice. Do you really need YouTube to tell you that it can scratch? It's not made out of Kryptonite ;)

Agreed that if you're buying something other than the aluminum version you're probably not concerned about how much AppleCare costs. This isn't like buying a Rolex for 30K that will outlive you. In about three years it'll probably be worth less than a hundred bucks and in five completely obsolete.

I'm Not an expert but I wouldn't think so. The Ti model uses a matte black look which is cool but the metal bracelets are all Glossy Space Black. I went with the SS space black so they would match and I'd save $100 The black leather band looks pretty good on the Ti I have to admit. Just not sure how durable that band is, as all my leather bands look pretty raggedy after 9 months of wear.
That's a major reason why I use the Link Bracelet: It has lasted for 5 years now since I got it with the Series 0 Apple Watch. That includes many hours of swimming in the sea and ocean.
I needed up just getting the stainless steel Series 5 Apple Watch as it clearly still matches my link bracelet, which turned out to have been a spectacular investment in 2014

What on earth would I be doing to make the watch dent? Odds are you'll probably break your arm before denting the watch...

I accidentally hit the edge of my aluminium Apple watch series 2 on a door handle. It dented (albeit slight) the watch case. The odds of being as clumsy as me are probably low, I was just saying that the titanium is harder, and if struck, it is less likely to be marked.

You should put the Titanium to the test. :)
