Series 7 will be the last one with a number in the name. Then they will announce Apple Watch X with X-Ray support. And we also want to know about 6 and 7, so post all the details here!

I hope we get a laser, too!Series 7 will be the last one with a number in the name. Then they will announce Apple Watch X with X-Ray support.
The Series 5 will probably look the same and have few new hardware features.
I’m guessing since it’s an “S” year it’s gonna get a host of new software features that only it has. Like always-on screen and YouTube video playback.
I agree that an additional casing material could be likely. Apple likes to work with different materials. In fact, since it will likely retain the same form factor as Series 4, a new material option would be a logical differentiator.I’m not confident about the ‘always on display’, especially being Apple has not even implemented it with the iPhone display. I agree with you though, that the form factor should remain the same, and maybe they might even add another metal casing option as well, like titanium.
I think the Series 5 will be a pretty minor update. They might even wait 18 months to 2 years to release a new gen.
2019? Finally glucose monitor? if not - what else could we expect?
Agree with that. I actually just upgraded to the stainless 44mm S4 from my series 0. I likely won’t upgrade again until another 4 gens when there’s another major redesign.Do not get your hope up for a ground breaking new feature.
The update will be incremental as usual! I am pretty happy with my SBSS LTE and will likely keep it another year.

Yeah it’s definitely a huge upgrade from the first gen. Very impressed with what they’ve done with it.I know you are loving you AW4, me too!
The screen and speed is awesome.
September next year. Will be a minor upgrade.
Kind of think its going to be a S-year like the phones. Faster, battery and better versions of current features

The iPhone used to require a computer with iTunes, so it seems like a logical progression for the watch to become untethered as well at some point.Series 5 will be the first Apple Watch to come untethered from the iPhone, no longer requiring an iPhone for setup etc.
At least I really hope so.
Roaming support is long overdue as well.
No, not at all is it realistic for the watch to have a needle. Available now are glucose monitors without pricking the skin reading glucose levels; yes, now available. Will the FDA approve it for a watch device, maybe they approved the ECG aka EKG for the Apple Watch. There are many medical companines making devices integrating with moble devices; The times they are a-changing.lol. do you think it's realistic for the apple watch to have a needle attached to it to measure your glucose everyday?
a glucose monitor would be a great option and i heard that apple was testing patents for this- Skin temperature measurement
- the new fluoride battery technology for a 7-day battery life
- walkietalkie app should have an “accept incoming message yes/no” choice before it starts talking
- detection of more heart diseases (and support for it in Europe)
- bloos glucose measurement
