I'm lurking 40 MM Gold SS with Gold ML with Oct 5-12th....really hoping it will ship end of this week or early next week. I have hope since folks are getting their stuff about one week early.... <fingers crossed>

That's what I noticed too - about one week early. I saw someone with a delivery date of 9/28 whose watch was out for delivery today. For us, that would mean (maybe? hopefully?) a week from today for the 10/5 - 10/12 delivery date?

As I said in my post #2,496 UPS has lost my watch. It was supposed to be in my hands right now, as I set it to be picked up at their office. When I went there to get it they said they had no record of it. Checking the tracking number they said they have no record of it since it left Shanghai even though I had tracking data on my phone showing it’s journey from Shanghai to Urbana. They said the record I was looking at is a “Logical” track, not a physical track. In other words at Shanghai it was physically scanned as going on a trailer. From that point on they only scan the trailer, not the individual items on it. Somewhere between there and here it got misplaced and the only thing that can be done is to wait until it turns up somewhere where it should not be. I asked for a phone number to complain and was told they do not do that.

At this point I’m just plain out.

It does get worse. I purchased the watch on the trade in program. The box to send my current watch arrived yesterday. From prior experience I know that if Apple does not get my current watch in a set time they will charge me for the full price on my new watch which I may not even have yet.

Doesn’t surprise me a bit. I used to live in Champaign/Mahomet and had quite a few issues with UPS in Urbana. At one point I had the number for a manager over there, unfortunately I no longer have it or I’d share it with you.

So my watch also just has the export scan but ups my choice is saying the 24th now(it had said 23rd before) so guess maybe there was a big hold up after all.

This is true during the pandemic with deliveries from UPS. My driver though is the best. He knows both my wife and I by first name, and when we see him around town, he will give us our packages.
Absolutely. Our UPS guy is the same. Just a really nice, friendly human being.

Always wondered what happens to the UPS freighters after offload in SDF, need to get back to PVG to make another trip, depending on how many in the system at any given time, the charters (Polar, Atlas, etc) must be the backup

Another poster noted an exception due to "Apple volume" and it also mentioned a "charter flight" so.. perhaps some of the 9 other flights scheduled to leave Shanghai for Anchorage will be carrying our watches.
Hopefully yours are on such a plane. However, I think Anchorage would not help me for a delivery to Europe/Germany.
As long as Apple doesn’t change the delivery date Sep 28 I guess I shouldn’t be worried.

Holy crap. People know what flights may be carrying their watch? Talk about some secret service level stuff right there. Haha. I don’t blame you. I’m excited too. I hope everyone has their delivered early.

I cancelled my original order for the SS Silver with the braided loop band and reordered with the leather loop band. Now my delivery date is Oct. 8 -13. I ordered the braided loop band separately and that is due in late November.
It is not safe to cancel any orders from Apple. Everything is pretty much delayed till Mid to late november.
