Apple Watch Series 6 Shipping/Order Status Thread

I imagine those of us waiting with a Shanghai Export Scan probably won't see it pop up in KY or Alaska magically - maybe the watch order numbers fell so they're waiting to collect more before sending them all on a plane?

Interesting the variation of experiences people get. I never had Export Scan on my watch, lol.

Maybe it’s not an advantage to have so much information about our shipments! Last time I ordered a watch on opening day, it was the original watch, and we didn’t have access to all of this! My watch (SS 40mm) departed Jiaxing on 9/18/20 at 11:55 pm, arriving at Shanghai on 9/19/20 at 12:10 am. Quick trip! From there, it gets very murky. Was “in transit” on 9/19/20 at 3:28 am, but then “delayed at export and is awaiting release from customs” on 9/19/20 at 10:05 pm. Nothing since then. Interesting that some folks’ watches left Jiaxing long after mine did, and are on the way, while mine is still “delayed at export.” Would not like to work at the dock where all this stuff is being processed! I envision high piles of boxes on pallets all over the place, being scanned sort of at random as they get to them in the crowd. For my Watches 3, 4, and 5, I waited patiently and got them at the Apple Store. Still have my 4 and 5, so not desperate for the new one, but would be nice to get the little guy freed from ”export!”

very interesting story! How do you know all this? or this is based on observation?

They told me the anchor gray band is no longer being made and it’s inclusion in create your style was a mistake. They said I needed to choose another band option but because the order had to be cancelled I have to reorder and wait times are terrible right now so I’m just screwed. I asked if they can prioritize my order and was told no, they can’t do that at this time.

That stinks. Hopefully, the wait time will quickly diminish once these initial day one orders get through the system.
 
Original arrival date when I ordered was September 25-29 and it just arrived today... My wife's was in a group delivering 9/29 - 10/2 and it is now showing Wednesday of this week. It is going through a different delivery route - but hers is a SE.

Quite happy with the improvement in delivery dates....Departed on 9/18 at midnight and the thread shows it being delayed in Louisville due to customs clearance - but still arriving in 2-3 days.

Anybody else in a similar situation? Mine has been sitting in Export for a almost two days...

Just got my series 6 Titanium with solo loop today. Ordered on launch day. Expected delivery date Sept 25 - 29.

Unfortunately the size I measured was incorrect so I'll have to wait for the correct size to arrive and do some exchanges at the apple store.

I almost went with that one... Went with the blue black/bright mango and I'm gonna give that band to my wife. I'll use the Black/Anthracite off my old watch.

What do you think about the Obsidian? Like it?

I like it! I might buy the blue black/bright mango that you got, but I would like to see it first hand. All of the Apple stores are closed around here, so that will be a little difficult right now.

Same here. If I wanted to visit an Apple store I'd be driving across multiple states... Gonna have to wait until they decide to open the stores in the Kansas City area to see them in person.
