Apple Watch Series 6 Shipping/Order Status Thread

Not really. China Airlines probably charges UPS a hefty premium for carrying their cargo. Maybe UPS just didn’t have any available capacity out of PVG so they had to pay another airline to get the cargo to TPE so it can be loaded on a UPS plane.

This is a company that optimizes their delivery routes to avoid left turns. I’m sure they know what the most cost effective way is to get a package from there to here.
But remember, they flew 450 miles south before flying 4,800 miles north...

Apple is likely the one paying for the extra planes, not UPS. Apple is known to book most cargo flights during launch season.

And that's still probably the most efficient route, for the same reason why my watch is going to fly to SDF then backtrack 250 miles to STL.

If the CAL flight was half full, it makes more economical sense to fly a half empty plane 400 miles to TPE, to combine cargo with a half empty plane in TPE, then fly one full plane to ANC, rather than fly a half empty plane PVG-ANC and another half empty plane from TPE-ANC.

Taiwan? The heck? Next flight out from UPS is like 11 hours away. At this point I wish we were flying FedEx.
....and your point is?

Whether it left for Anchorage right now, or in 10 hours, it's still going to get to you on Wednesday.

My god some of you people are impatient.

Haha! My thoughts exactly when reading this, but it's so much fun! :) And I'm speaking as someone who won't open their AW6 (delivered 3 hours ago) until his wife's AW6 comes in the mail Tues/Wed/Thurs.

Mine says I can request the 22nd and we are on the same flight. Is that a wise decision?

We did it but, probably not a wise decision :) lol. They say they can't guarantee it. But it is only $5. At least, that's what it cost us. lol.

For those whose AW’es are sitting in Taiwan. This is the earliest UPS flight from there to ANC at 8.33PM. 11 hours to go.

I don’t think it’s still there, the freighter landed and took off but the freight was not offloaded, no scanning took place
It is there... at least mine.

Sure I’m impatient. It’s kind of the point of this thread. I admit I’m not mad but I am quite focused on this. As I said earlier I enjoy the distraction. My “aggravation” stems from the rollout being different than all other Apple purchases I’ve made. And I understand there’s a pandemic going on which makes the watching all the more fun. It’s all in good fun with me.

FINALLY! 44mm SS Gold arrived today from an original 25th-28th delivery date.

Upgraded from an aluminum gold S4 (on the left in the pic, with the SS Gold S6 on the right), and every interaction just feels smoother, which makes it feel just a bit faster. It feels refined, I think is the best way to describe it. The SS is definitely noticeably heavier, however slight, but it makes the Watch feel more premium.

RE SpO2: follow the directions, you'll be fine. Seems consistent in my usage.

The AOD is wonderful! I upgraded for that and for cellular (to disengage from my phone more, which I don't really use that much), and thus far, it's awesome!

Thanks for being a supportive group! If you have Qs about the S6 while you wait for yours, I'm happy to answer them!
