Call up UPS. "Package could not be located for intercept" could mean something bad or it could be nothing. If you have patience, I would wait 2-3 business days, and if the status doesn't change call them. If you are not the patient type, I would call them and get them to explain what this means.

Oh god!!! I should not have paid that $5 to customize the delivery. This is just crazy. I will Call UPS right away. You are right I have no patience anymore lol. Also, the stores in LV are all closed can't even pick up the watch at the Apple store ugh!!!

It’s possible! The note basically means they tried to “intercept” it to deliver to you earlier (as you requested) but they could not locate the package, most likely because it’s already on its way somewhere. Hopefully about to land in Anchorage with us!!
I don't work at UPS, I have no idea. I don't want to be speculative. I had this happen to me and I waited and eventually in 2-3 business days, the status went away and the status changes resumed.
Finally made it to the US, now showing a delivery for Wednesday before 9pm.
Considering I ordered the watch within minutes of the Apple online store going live last week, I am very disappointed in the way Apple treats its loyal customers, you see, I found the exact same watch on launch day at my local Apple store and before noon on launch day, I had the watch on my wrist while the online order was showing preparing to ship for over three days...seriously Apple, get your shipping together

So, I contacted UPS international Shipment right away. They told me that Package was exported and is currently in a process of being in the USA. However, it is not released by the customs yet and that has to be done before its routed to the destination. The nice lady did say it may arrive tomorrow depending on if the customs releases it. Also, the status will be updated once it's in the states.
@Heatherra You might be right we might be traveling together after all!!! I'm tracking the flight right now. 28 min to go! It's weird how I don't have the Korea scanning.

Haven't gotten our clearance yet, but same timeline as yours. UPS still says Thursday but my watch went from KY to LA within 4 hours on the same day. UPS My Choice gave us a notice saying it failed to intercept the package and couldn't deliver it a day early
[/QUO I signed up for it but then UPS wouldn’t give me a date anymore and I got scared and cancelled the request.
I paid the $5 also to get my watch to NorCal sooner. Looks like that won’t happen though. I am going to be quicker to order the iPhone 12Pro Max next month. I hope you get your watch soon!You'd think that would save a lot of time instead of heading over to KY... But every Apple product I've ever ordered on launch day has gone through KY (according to my limited memory).
UPS is saying it's gunna take 2 days to go from KY to CA even though we paid the $5. <shrug> - oh well.

Finally made an account after years of lurking, haha
Ordered it right after the event. Been on Shipped since the evening of the 18th, no updates after that. Contacted DHL, they said:
Unfortunately your shipment has not been handed over to DHL Express by the shipper. The shipper has created the airwaybill but has not physically handed over the shipment to one of our couriers.
So I don’t think I’m getting it tomorrow.

The bill came from Apple, but DHL still says Eindhoven and "The Estimated Delivery Date is currently unavailable. Please try again later." The bill shows 20th September as date. CC was also charged, but no watch here

Soooo crazy stuff is happening. I ordered two bands (size 4-5) a little to late and they were scheduled for Nov 15, but suddenly monday they got shipped and should arrive by today.
the watch on the other hand was ordered in the next morning after the event (I wanted the full blue one with the blue one loop thingy, but delivery was scheduled for mid nov) So instead I ordered another version of (Blue Watch with produc red band), which was scheduled for Oct 7) in order to just exchange the bands and either keep the red one or sell it.
BOOM, suddenly this morning money got pulled from the credit card and its prepared for shipment.
So how is the average waiting time between prepared for shipment and shipped? I mean I don't count it will come before monday, which is fine. Delivery country is germany.

yes indeed, you were right, finally got my arrival date which is today Wednesday. This has been one of those mustard screw ups. Glad it is now being sorted out by UPS and many of us are now getting our watches soon. Good luck to everybody and enjoy your new toy
