Exactly, I don't see that as "taking care of the customer" either, a question that I haven't seen apple take as much care of for some time, as it did some time ago.

On the website there was a template to measure the size, but in my case, it should take a 7. In the end I opted for the standard strap (the usual one). This week I tried the strap 7 in a friend's apple watch, and it's too small for me, so I don't understand well the theme of the template either.

I'm not very happy with this release.
Yeah I’m really not liking this release either.. and I feel like this whole fiasco with the Solo/Braided loops could have been avoided by providing more information and a better measuring tool. Cause I should be a 7 (with a 44mm watch) and my friend should be a 7 also, but he ended up being a 4.. so I really don’t get it.

Or they should have postponed the whole Solo/Braided loop launch til next year, assuming COVID is no longer a thing.

My buddy in LA had to go to the Apple Store to exchange his band for a new one because apparently they couldn’t do it another way. They ended up giving him a free sport band to make up for everything.

Update from the UK thread:

After having 1 of 2 watches delivered by DHL today, I called them to see where the 2nd one is. I was told that they had some kind of technical/power issue at Leipzig last night, and although some packages did go, thousands of packages couldn’t be processed. I was told that they are being processed now, and that if the tracking moves on by around 9pm tonight to expect delivery Mon, otherwise it will have missed tonight’s flight and then delivery will be Tues!!!

Apparently some watches go through Leipzig before being sent over to Eindhoven.
What I don't really understand is why they use Eindhoven, if from Leipzig they can communicate many parts of Europe. It feels like taking many steps in a shipment.

At least for your friend, it ended with a happy ending (band + clock). We will see if we at least get the clock xD

And even on the DHL website it says: Leipzig is the most important hub in this network. Every night, thousands of tons of cargo are unloaded, sorted and reloaded by perfectly trained teams within a very short time. Hundreds of thousands of shipments are processed. We ensure that our customers' shipments arrive safely, quickly and on time.
So clearly they’re more than capable of shipping everything from there..

Just contacted Apple Support about my watch still being stuck in Eindhoven with delivery to Germany expected on monday - the support guy told me, that it will probably be delivered on monday.

He is able to check (internally) where exactly the watch is physically located, and that (even if DHL is not telling it) it already is in Eindhoven at DHLs hands.

Congrats to all those DHL victims that already have the watch 😉

How did you contact them? I also tried via phone call but the automated message says they're closed and then the call ends. I called DHL and gave them all my info, only for them to say "sorry it looks like it hasn't arrived to DHL yet"... Eindhoven, "shipment information received" gang

Just a quick update to shed some light:
I ordered an 40mm SE Silver AL, 44mm Blue AL, and a band on the 17th. Band said delivered by 24th and the 2 watches delivered first week of Oct. Band was from Carlisle PA and delivered on the 23rd. The SE updated delivery date to this week and is coming in a few hours. Shipped from China on the 19th. The Blue AL updated delivery to Tomorrow on Apples website, to Monday on the Apple Store App and UPS app. That watch is also coming from Carlisle PA and shipped today. Assuming I’ll get it Monday since no UPS on Sat. Just weird that the Blue AL would be coming from just a few hours from where I live. (Scranton area, PA)

Michael?? :D

I'm going to call now, in case you could clarify a little bit the situation of my order. But if it's like you say, it's great news

I called the (german) apple store support for it. There I was able to choose "Get information about existing order" and needed to enter my order nr.
Probably they are closed now - but I think I called just after 5.

Random but friend of mine says there is actually a paper company there that is very similar to Dunder Mifflin near your area lol. Would love to visit there one day and see some of the local areas they talked about on the show. Though I know the actual Office show was filmed mostly in Los Angeles.
