Apple Watch Series 6 Shipping/Order Status Thread

Can we all please keep in mind that we are all still in a pandemic?

Ordered a made to order part from China 8 hours after the Apple Watch, which I was quoted 5 days to manufacture from a vendor that handles as many orders if not more per week as Apple does. That arrived this morning. Watch is still "processing".

Also, a friend ordered an identical spec to mine 2 days after, he lives less than 50 miles from me in the next county over from me, his is currently showing as being in Amsterdam.

This ordering process is a farcical lottery.

I could in fact cancel my order directly from Apple now, and order it on amazon and have it arrive 20 days earlier than Apple's current estimate. Logical, eh?

Ordered a 44mm SBTi w/ Cypress Green sport band on 9/21/20 with an expected Oct 1-5 Delivery.

Shipped 9/24/20, Apple email states delivery before Oct 2nd.
Departed Jiaxing 9/24
UPS Estimated delivery Monday 9/28

Yep absolutely, definitely need to consider this.



Mine is 11 days and still in the "Processing" phase, at least yours has shipped already.


All this being said, the estimate provided by Apple is an estimate and I shouldn't have a reason to believe it will ship earlier than that estimate (though it would definitely be nice if it did ship earlier). Not an expert in these kinds of things but there could be some liability issues if they quote an earlier date and then it ends up arriving later, hence the conservative timelines.

In my experience over the years, Apple tends to underpromise and over deliver. My watch arrived a week earlier than it originally said.

Looking that way at the moment, my watch is expected to arrive a week early now.

Date changed yesterday from 13th-20th October to 7th-14th October, got a email this morning telling me about the changes, still processing order though. 🤔

Hopefully the date holds.

I received my watch a few days earlier than expected as well. I'm liking the AW6 with AOD
so far, but the band I chose, Garnet Leather Modern Buckle, is so flimsy. I've purchased better quality leather bands off amazon. Will definitely be returning for something else as it is not worth $149 in my opinion.

Can you return the band if that’s the band you picked to go with the watch when ordering?

I just called and they said I could. ETA: it would stupid if I had to return the watch too, when the problem is only the band. Plus its' too small.

Got to give credit to apple when it comes to their customer support and service, unmatched in my opinion.

I ordered the Red AW on the same day you did but mine was delivered Friday, 9/25. I live in Northern California. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting.......

Still nothing on these. The Ti was ordered a half hour after the event ended on the 15th(rare band maybe, with the braided solo loop). The SS Graphite was ordered on the 18th (possibly issue with the ML band?)

I think I’ve become so accustomed to Apple’s under-promising and over-delivering on ship dates over the years that I assumed it would be here by now. Several reports of people getting them a week to the day early added to that, but in reality I’m still a ways out from the actual promised delivery windows. Like Tom Petty said, “The waiiiiting is the hardest part...”

This is giving me a lot of hope. You're the 2nd person today who's updated to Preparing to Ship with a Weds delivery. I'm a Friday delivery and SS Gold still processing so hopefully like you say, maybe they've finally got stock ready to go

My card just got charged! Still showing processing but that can change any minute now. I'm excited!
