Good luck my buddy! It appears that my Apple curse continues but I'm hopeful we each see BUMPS in our shipping dates. My series 3 needs this upgrade and I'd love to have the watch for my trip. No biggy... just wish I hadn't MISSED THE ANNOUNCEMENT of the presale. 🤣

I snagged the midnight Nike watch with the black sport loop. I'm kind of eyeing the orange Nike band now....

Which did you get?
No such thing as Apple curses!!!! You will have all the luck. 🍀🙏😇 Here’s to BUMPS in our shipping dates🥂

Anyway, I got the Silver SS 45mm to replace my AW4. I’m really liking the idea of you getting the orange Nike band 🤩, it seems as though it will be a good combination/alternate for the midnight Nike watch.

Besides, you need to treat yourself to the orange Nike band since you didn’t join us for our annual iPhone re-up.;)😁

Anyone know if Apple will let you exchange/upgrade your strap? For example, I ordered a 45mm midnight aluminum and am now regretting the blue sport band I chose in haste - will I be able to take it to the Apple store and shell out $50 additional dollars for a midnight leather link, without returning the whole purchase?

In years gone by you had to return the watch with the strap which was just silly. I believe that they changed the system a year or two ago so that you can return the strap and buy another one.

I've been trying to figure out how to do this, but when I go to check out it says "unavailable for pickup" (which is expected because the product hasn't launched yet). I'm probably going to sound like an idiot asking this, but is there a way to preorder a new product and pick it up from the Apple Store on launch day?
You had to order very soon after they went available. Most stores ran out of launch day stock within an hour of availability. I would not expect to see anything other than unavailable for pickup until at least Friday. Some stores will start listing new stock probably on Friday but you would have to go through each model to find availability. Even with that, it may not be available for more than a few minutes. Availability pops up at all different times during the day and only last until sold out. So it may only be active for 2 minutes. Your best bet for launch day is to stand in line at your local Apple store.

I ordered when they became available for pre-order and mine still says estimated date of 1-7 Dec for delivery. 45mm Starlight/Gold Milanese Strap.

If anyone is planning to activate a cellular watch on T-Mobile, there is a $100 gift card promotion. But, if you already have an Apple Watch with a cellular connection, you have to be very specific on how to activate your watch to retain the promotion.

You must activate a new line rather than transferring your existing service to the new watch. Otherwise, it is not considered a new activation and your request for the promotional $100 gift card may be rejected.

Unfortunately, you most likely will have to keep your existing line active until the rebate is approved, even if there is no longer a watch associated with it. I went through all this with a T-Mobile rep and confirmed this is how the system works.
I have had cellular on my past Apple watches and used it so infrequently that i decided to go without it on the 7.

I’ve called a few times about this, ordered the solo loop but don’t know if I’m going to like it.

I’ve gotten different responses from different CS agents, but most said not a problem to exchange just the band in store without having to wait for another watch.

Mine is still preparing to ship. Pretty much ordered as soon as UK store opened, but still got 19th s an estimated date. Still, I’m wearing a series 2 right now, so I can be patient
How is your Series 2 holding up? I have a Series 6 and wondering how many years I can expect from it.

Waiting for Glucose Monitor, don't know if that's possible, my daughter says I should get the 7 in case I fall down without my iPhone 8Plus on me; getting Old !
I have extreme reservation about Apple's ability to develop a reliable glucose monitor. I would be incredibly impressed and pleased if they do but I question if it is possible. Like the O2 sensor on my Series 6, it's nothing more than a party trick and not a useful medical device.

I bought my parents Apple Watches for fall detection alone.

Easy pass. Interns at Apple messed up the colors pretty badly on this. Hopefully they will get fired and Apple Watch 8 comes on the same colors as the iPhone.

Gotcha - thanks!

Interesting...this morning I received the email that my series 7 shipped. When I clicked on "see invoice" on Apple's website, I noted that the serial number was missing. A few hours later, I was no longer able to see invoice; I get a "Something went wrong." All invoices from my previous purchases are still accessible, only the one for my Apple Watch has disappeared. I wonder if it has something to do with the missing serial number... Oh well... Tracking number still works, which is what matters.

Does apple usually use FedEx or UPS for shipping Apple Watch? This may be a pointless question because I know they use both for various things. I’m just trying to guess which one. It is easier for me if they do FedEx.

Anyone know of any good screen protectors or cases for Series 7?

Went with aluminum and I read that they scratch a lot easier than stainless and titanium.
I’ve been upgrading every year, always aluminum (I keep 2 on hand day/night) so get 2 years from each watch. Never had a scratch on aluminum. its a great material, being lighter than all the others, I feel the silent vibrations alarms & notices so much more than on a heavier watch.
