This is what it’s going to look like folks.

There are obviously significant challenges in making the device thinner.. because otherwise it would be.

This looks uncomfortable to wear. Hard hard pass.

If you compare the distance between the oval shaped button and the edges, youd find that this is proportionally very similar to the current watches. The reason it looks thicker is becuse the curves on the current model give an illusion of thinness. This new design doesn't hide the thickness at all.
Okay, but that illusion matters, and it’s one that watch makers have always used. To put it a different way, if your watch looks stupid thick, no one is going to excuse that on the basis that another watch might look thinner.

THICC. Jeez. The real version might be officially thinner, but the squared-off edges aren't going to reflect that visually.

Remember the 11 Pro/Max camera bump and the renders / dummy models? Everyone hated that and said it was too big and ugly. Then the official release came and Apple made it blend it with the glass back and it didn’t look so bad after all?

These are bad clones. Look at the digital crown - They look like they’ve been glued on.

Hopefully the official S7 will look much better and thinner than that.

Images purporting to show counterfeit clones of upcoming Apple Watch Series 7 models have been shared online, giving a closer look at the device's expected redesign.

The images, shared in a tweet from the user known as "Majin Bu," show counterfeit clones of the Apple Watch Series 7 in Space Gray, Silver, and Space Black. The design of the clones closely matches the redesign that is expected to bring squared-off edges to the Apple Watch, much like those of the iPhone 12 lineup, iPad Air, iPad Pro, and 24-inch iMac.

Although the units in the images are clones and not legitimate Apple devices, they may give the best impression yet of what we can expect the new Apple Watch design to look like in the real world. Majin Bu explained that these Apple Watch Series 7 clones will sell for around $60 in China.

The design of the Apple Watch Series 7 has only been seen thus far in renders that were reportedly based on leaked images and alleged industry-sourced CAD renders, featuring two long speaker grilles along the left side of the device, squared-off edges, and a thinner casing.

Although the Apple Watch Series 7 is expected to be 1.7mm thinner than the Series 6, it is worth bearing in mind that this change may not have been carried over to the clones and the smartwatches depicted in these images may look thicker than the authentic devices.

Clones of popular Apple products are commonly made in China, often in the hopes of duping customers into thinking that they are the real thing. The issue is so widespread that Apple has a team whose sole focus is to crack down on counterfeit products and prevent them from being sold.

Earlier this year in March, images of third-generation AirPods clones emerged online. Given that these AirPods have yet to launch over half a year later, it goes to show how far in advance counterfeit manufacturing operations in China take place. Nevertheless, the range of images showing third-generation AirPods clones have given the clearest look yet at the expected design of the new wireless earbuds.

The Apple Watch Series 7 is expected to be unveiled by Apple as soon as next month, likely alongside the iPhone 13 lineup, offering improved display technology and Ultra Wideband connectivity, a faster processor, a bigger battery, and more.

Stay classy Beijing, Nothing says you made it like owning a Chinese Apple imitation.

The current design is tacky. I look forward to the cleaner modern design, but this knock-off is pretty bad. Hopefully the real one is thinner and better proportioned.

BRAUN seemed to think the flat sides worked. One of the obvious inspirations for the Apple Watch.

WOW If this is true.. it just shows how fast China can clone a product and get it to market before the actual product is released.. Does that then mean they can then sue Apple for design etc?
Chinese factories are the first ones to receive the CAD files to produce them for apple. And those places are more leaky then the titanic. The second the final design was submitted for mass production, they made these. Since the ramp up for apple to produce enough watches for launch takes months, they have ample time to put out limited batches of these clones. (Because Apple’s volumes are enormous, and these are not)

I know it’s a clone but it’s really not great looking. I’ll keep an open mind out but it’s way too thick if it’s an exact clone. The dial also looks odd. Maybe the real one will be somewhat embedded into the case

I highly doubt the watch will be that ridiculously thick. It's very un Apple-y. If it is that thick, it better have some fancy tech in it like all-day, painless blood glucose testing.
