Longer battery life. 5 days would be amazing, but I'd settle for 3. A long weekend without a charger would be great.

My wishes are more on the software side, I guess.
- ability to manage your watch backups
- better ability to dial in rest days into your activity rings
- cardio fitness readings (VO2max) for every workout not only for outdoor workouts

As for the watch itself I would love to see a size between 40 and 44.

Longer battery life is the first thing on my wish list. The watch is good as it is for the time being.

- New design (a la iPhone 12)
- Reduced bezels even further (or a slightly bigger "Max" version)
- Better battery
- More frequent HR sampling and even more accurate sensors during activity
- Allow custom watch faces

Body temp monitoring, smart bands, and a new white ceramic version. Missed out on the s5 ceramic and my s3's battery is starting to age.

thinner
lower profile sensor bump
more aluminum colors, including a better gold
more watch faces
bigger, more creative band selection (prints, patterns)
watch sold separately, for people who don’t need any more bands

measure calorie intake? Surely that’s what diet apps do already?
I only know of apps where you need to somehow enter what you eat and drink. The calorie intake monitoring is only as accurate as your discipline in properly entering the correct food and intake amount of everything you consume.

What I'm asking for is some kind of sensor that could monitor your intake automatically I guess? Have no idea whether this would even be possible. Maybe by monitoring sugar levels, or something? Like I said, not my area of expertise. :)

I have a Series 6 (GPS + Cellular) before that I had a series 3 from 2017. The one thing that would make me upgrade apple watches so soon again is blood pressure monitoring (which is actually one of the rumors for the Series 7).

Outside of the usual incremental updates (e.g. better battery life, processor improvements, new health sensors, larger screen, smaller casing), I'm not actually sure what I want out of a new Apple watch. Most of the room for improvement is on the software side of things. One thing that drives me a little crazy is media playback - it would be great if the now playing 'widget' could control audio from my iPad!
Being able to control my iPad from Now Playing on the watch would be SUPER helpful for me.

I would like the Always On feature to work with all apps on the watch not just the watch face and Workouts.
And extra battery life, but a few of you have mentioned that already... :)

The biggest, hugest, most glaring weakness of this watch is battery life. It's in a weird place because it could do a marathon, with music, but it won't be able to do anything else unless you are very fast. However, it won't do an all-day hike or bike ride. Battery life needs to, at least, double.

That would also extend the device life because it would require fewer charges, which is precisely why it's probably never going to happen.

No issue with the battery life as it is. It gets through the day with plenty to spare.

Id like it to have more work out types.
Better accuracy tracking your steps and movement.

Struggling to think of anything else I’d add.
