Larger doesn't make any sense, smaller I could see a market for because for most women the small Apple watch is still way way too big.

I'm not sure. My sister knows a guy who's girlfriend knew someone who lived 'in the valley', and ran with a guy who's roommate knew a guy that was dating someone that worked at Apple who told them that the next Apple Watch was going to be available in 2 different shapes, 4 different sizes, and 8 different colors.

Seems about as reliable as this prognostication. *shrug*
No this guy is well informed in the display business and thus can make educated guesses based on what manufacturers make for screens. If there's suddenly a mystery order for a weird screen size it will get noticed by people.

They need the 38mm size again. I know women that want one but the current, forget the S3, are too big.
Yes, I would consider the watch if it was smaller. I have a small wrist and the current sizes look and feel ridiculous. My husband is updating to the new watch. It works fine for him and probably most other people. Unfortunately, not so much for those of us with a small frame.

A leaked photo of the "Max" version of the Apple Watch 8 (watch strap not visible) ... 😆

Since we are in the digital watch phase, I believe a new design is necessary to take advantage of the technology. I would like to see Apple have some courage and design a watch face/size that is in landscape not the traditional portrait. A much larger screen area can be achieved in a landscape orientation than the portrait orientation which is limited by wrist size.

But will it come in better colours?
Better colors? What does that even mean? They offer I think more traditional colors in terms of the watch. But what were you expecting, like fuchsia or turquoise? Apple tends to be very conservative, but yet neutral with colors with a commonality with silver, gold, space gray, all of which clearly had a huge market segment, but they’ve offered more limited colors in different models. Lets say Apple made a green Apple Watch, which would cost them additional manufacturing to do that, and for what? Maybe for a small segment of people that actually would buy that? Probably not in their best interest.

Apple's many patents with LiquidMetal ($lqmt) will allow for injection molding with fine detail and a broader range of form factors.

They already offer that.

Space black has already been an option, space gray has already been an option and silver aluminum and silver stainless have been options.
And obviously I’m not talking about the stainless steel model, I assumed that was clear. As I mainly use this as an exercise tracker, the aluminium is the only model I want. This year there are no neutral options.

This product should have been called the iWatch from the start. But since it wasn't, why not Apple Watch 1,2,3 etc? Why did they feel the need to add the world series there? Just because? It makes no sense.

I’d be down for a larger size as long as it’s not ridiculous. But I think it would require new bands? Still would probably be down as I don’t own a ton of bands or anything and have been wanting to get some new ones lately anyway. I think a larger one would also have a bigger battery. Hoping someday to get weekly battery life.

AW newbie, why are they portrait and not landscape already, taking advantage of extra real estate on the arm?
Think about that for a minute. Why would the Apple Watch need an orientation of landscape? That means you’d have to have a specific rotation the way the Apple Watch displays the U.I based on the users wrist. That’s not a natural movement, which is exactly why it is in portrait, when you raise your wrist, you see information displayed based on that specific natural movement.

The watch is too big as it is, doesn't need any more barely functional useless gimmick sensors.

More battery life, more customizable options in the OS and default applets, compatibility with non-iOS devices for those of use that have grown to loath and despise the platform.

I can’t see them going say 46mm. If they do it maybe 48mm or something but i think they would need to change the design for that to work.
