I'm still rocking my Series 5 watch unless the Series 9 drops to $199 I'm not even considering it.
How is it doing on Watch OS 10?I'm still rocking my Series 5 watch unless the Series 9 drops to $199 I'm not even considering it.
Considering the dumpster fire that macOS 13.x/14.x, iOS/iPadOS 16.x/17.x have been, I'll take my chances. Plus, macOS 12.7 is still getting security updates. You realize you are missing A LOT of security updates?
I get waiting a month or so, but I don’t get this at all.
It's at 83% battery health. I wear it from about 6:30am - 9:30pm every day and charge it all night.I’m curious, what is the battery health at now? My wife is just starting to complain about the battery life on her Series 4.
How is it doing on Watch OS 10?
I have a Watch with a fully functioning blood oxygen sensor. I think I've used it twice just to check it out. Not something I would worry to much about losing.I'm wondering if sales have slowed due to the blood oxygen removal?
Any reason why you stopped specifically at 15.7?This sucks. I'd consider upgrading my series 4, but I'd then have to upgrade iOS from 15.7 to 17.4, which I have no desire to do right now. I'd also then have to update macOS to probably at least Ventura, if not Sonoma, again, which I have no desire to do right now.
So, going to continue with the series 4 for now. Fortunately, the battery life is still all day for me.
My series 4 gets hot at times… it never used to. I think ill do a reset and give it a few days to settle down…. Its battery just plummets before my eyes if im actively using it… even for basic stuff like timers and calcSeries 5 watch seems to be doing fine on OS 10. Battery health is at 73% but it still lasts all day for me.
ok, how about the ability to make it more independent? so that, once its paired with the iphone, then it can do stuff on its own?Unlikely... I think it's too much of a cash cow keeping people in an 'ecosystem'.
Could you speak up a bit as I didn't quite catch that?WAR IS PEACE
FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH
APPLE WATCHES DON’T NEED BLOOD OXYGEN SENSORS
I use mine a couple times a month when I think about it.I have a Watch with a fully functioning blood oxygen sensor. I think I've used it twice just to check it out. Not something I would worry to much about losing.
I was on 15.7.2 when Apple released 16.x. I stuck with 15.7.2 because 16.x looked pretty bad based on lots of stories here. Then, Apple changed their mind and stopped supporting 15.7.x on my device (iPhone SE 2022). Based on the lousy reports of 16/17 as well as macOS Ventura and Sonoma, I've decided to stay where I am for now. I don't want to leave Monterey, iOS/iPadOS 15.7.2 for now.Any reason why you stopped specifically at 15.7?
I understand not wanting to upgrade iOS 17 if you really like iOS 15. I only ask because iOS 15 has had further updates since 15.7.
15.8.2 (with security updates, I assume) came out just a few days ago.
I don’t mean to be nosey. I was just thinking that you might not be aware of the most recent iOS 15 update. But maybe you have a good reason for staying with 15.7 specifically.
