Third grade? That's a little ridiculous.

Im from the uk so what age is third grade?

Last summer I saw a grade 4 boy here in China, with a SS with link bracelet. That's about 10/11 years old. However some weeks he'd be wearing a god awful way-too-big chunky black watch which may have been a g shock or similar. I'd guess he didn't have a watch of his own at all and his dad let him wear whatever one he didn't want to to look "cool".

That's probably not the case with those twins.

7/8 years old.

Yeah third grade in the US is 8 years old. To buy 8 year old twins Apple Watches serves no purpose other than to display your abundance of disposable income on your children's wrists.

Still waiting to see one in the UK !
Wandering around the Apple store at the Metro Centre, and not a single punter has one. No one even checking out the large watch display desk either.

Considering how popular the Apple Watch is I'm also surprised I haven't spotted more people wearing them.

As said I've only seen Apple staff wear them, 2 people at work and 1 random guy in my local shopping centre.

They may look at it, flip out because she has a $300 accessory, and not tip. People can be petty when it comes to tips.
A person that despicable would have found any excuse not to tip, watch or no watch. Anyone who fails to tip a waitress because they disapprove of how she spends her own hard earned money just shouldn't be going out to eat.

I wonder if that thing hurts her tips...
I mean it was a fairly trendy establishment, but she did only receive a 15% tip from me, not because she had an AWS, but because she spent more time showing it off to a couple at another table and not filling our drinks.

Hurts her what???

Oh, I need to read more carefully…

Heh :D

They would have definitely been looking hard for a reason. Saw the whole scenario get raised in a different thread.

I have a feeling that they're only popular in the USA !

I still haven't seen one out in the wild so perhaps it depends where about you live in the UK. I would image you would have more chance of spotting one in big city centres like London and Manchester and also around Universities but the only ones I've seen in Birmingham so far were worn by the Apple Store staff.

Isn't Birmingham quite cold and wet?

I saw a lot more in the summer here in China before people started wrapping up for the winter.

Ran the Star Wars Half Marathon at Disneyland California a few weeks ago and spotted an Apple Watch on one of the runners. Talked to the woman for a bit and turns out she runs quite a bit and had just received the watch for Christmas but had yet to run with it as the race was her first time. Additionally, the rest of the weekend was spent with my family at Disneyland and only spotted 2 other people wearing Apple Watches although I really was not looking out for them.

I am running a 10k at disney world in a couple weeks... got my mickey face with fastpass set in a calendar complication. I'll let you know what I see!

I've seen a fair amount of AW's now that it's been roughly 10 months. Mostly Sports of course. See them from time to time at restaurants, usually younger or middle aged men. Saw a couple both wearing matching Watches (how cute!) A girl on campus with a Rose Gold Sport. An older lady working at a Hallmark store. Tons of people sporting them at Disney world.

As far as wearables go, this is what I've seen from most common to least:

Fitbits
Apple Watches
Moto 360's
Pebbles
Samsung S-something whatever. (And only saw 2 of these.)
