    Hello,

Anyone got this issue? Notice the apple logo, serial letter "a" and some are beginning to chip around the circle.

I must say none of my other watch paint chip, even the budget ones!

    Thanks,

I was within my 14 day exchange period and upgraded from the sport space gray to the SS. After seeing this, I'm happy with my decision.

There is no paint to chip on the stainless model, so yes plus the one with the Spaceblack DLC coating has chipped, too

Has the case itself chipped on the DLC one or just the band? I hadn't heard of it on the watch case itself yet?

I also got this issue, Apple Store staff told me this was a known issue but cases weren't enough for Apple to take any action.

I've seem some threads about this here, as others you're not alone. I'm hoping this issue does not befall my AW.

What about the silver or gold sport AW? Any issues on those?

ok so I just left the Apple Store and the so called Genius BAr ssys there is nothing they can do since they consider this problem cosmetic. I pointed out the fact that others were having the same problem and they said not enough people were having the same problem. I still say its a manufacturers defect.

Oh wow! I noticed some chipping on my space gray within days of getting it. I thought it was odd because I was completely babying it during that time and it was in areas that would be hard to chip. Now I'm wondering if it was a defect rather than something I did

Once again left the Apple Store today after I spoke to a senior support specialist and I got the ok the swap out my watch. When I got the store they said they just got an email from Apple saying they can now swap watches with this issue out without question.

I think that's y it's good to get a full body protector applied to the watch to prevent this maybe?

I just installed the BSE screen protector and armorsuit full body protector on my watch. So it's fully protected now. No worries!!

I'm having some chips also at the front, right down at the screen, which seems a very strange spot.

Does this also count or only if it chips at the back ?

Call customer relations.. I did.. was given permission to return my SGS and then picked up a SS on CL for dirt cheap. Push the issue that you are extremely unhappy with build quality. Your case will need escalated. Hopefully enough of these returns force them to use better materials.
