Hi !! I have also noticed it today on my new Iwatch 4. Just noticeable under direct light and in some positions, but it caught my attention while cleaning it

I have googled this issue but I have just found this feed discussing it. So, it definitely seems to be something all the watches have?

Thanks !

Normal. Been many threads about this. Can only see in direct sunlight.
Hi! Where have you read threads regarding this matter? Is it something apple considers normal?

It is for sure the same on all Apple watches as my AW2, 3 and now 4 stainless models show the same under direct sunlight.

It is not an issue.

Thanks for your quick response. As you have seen it on several watches, do you know the reason for this to happen? Does it have to do with components of the screen or

Good afternoon all,

Here are some pictures of one of my tiny “dents”. Again only visible under direct light (this is an indoor light). It seems like I have two of them, but the screen is brand new so no external bump whatsoever.

I hope this can help someone who has a similar issue.

Still not sure if to drop by an apple store and see other watches and ask them to replace it, but after what I have read here it won’t make much of a difference.

There doesn’t seem to be any information online regarding this issue except for this thread. Are we the only crazy ocd’s who have noticed this ? :D

I have the same wrinkle effect and a few little bumps under the screen that can be seen in the right light too... must have something to do with the manufacturing process.

Those ‘bumps’ that you see on the display, they look like an orange peel affect, something changed in the manufacturing process that started with the Series 3 Apple Watch, it’s not abnormal, it’s a manufacturing tendency with that specific display.
