I wear my black FitBit to work every day - no one has ever freaked out about it. I think you'll be fine.

I totally agree. As long as you dont wear a pink band or something, I cant imagine who would be bothered.

I generally wear plastic sports watches to work along with a suit. I'm currently wearing a Polar V800 (I actually own a really nice Omega Seamaster but rarely wear it). I'm currently leaning towards the SS apple watch with a black sports band, possibly buying the stainless link bracelt later.

Don't do it, it's so tasteless imo.
If you're gonna wear often a more dressy outfit, you'll definitely need a leather band. And you should match all leather stuff you're wearing, not just by colour, but by texture and shade too (watch band, belt, shoes, wallet, phone case).
Yea soooo damn tateless!! No way you should wear a rubber strap with a dressy outfit!! I'd not be caught dead in any of those watches listed below while in a dressy outfit.... Oh wait....

Works fine, well the black one.

Plenty of high end watches use a rubber band, though they tend to have much better water resistance :)

High end doesn't mean it goes with always goes with dress attire. :)

I have to say I disagree with that 100%. There is no hard and fast rule that says you have to wear a certain type of band or even watch with a certain type of dress style.

? We'll have to agree to disagree then :D

Ha! Found it. Apple watch, black sport band, suit.

Its weird a lot of people seem to be wearing the sport band in the wild. Check out these fashion shoot pictures with the sport band. Actually looks awesome. The sport band looks classy when it needs to be.

This... just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Dress clothes should be worn with a leather band. Nothing looks worse than a suit with a G-Shock. It's funny that all the people who don't wear a suit to work are telling you that it's fine.

The bottom line is that you can wear whatever watch you want with whatever clothes you want. It doesn't make you more or less of a human being. But if you are asking what the proper etiquette is then stick with the leather bands when in dress attire. Just my opinion.

What if you happen to be a stylish vegan?

I'm wondering in practice how frequently I'm going to want to change the band, and whether I can get by just wearing the sport band all the time, even with dress clothes.

Is anyone else thinking of wearing the sport band to work, with dress clothes? Anyone seen any pics or videos of someone in dress clothes wearing the sport band and pulling it off?

I don't see a problem wearing a sport band at all with the SS, however I'm having a hard time seeing myself wearing the aluminum black sport with a dress shirt...any thoughts on people who've tried it on?

*shrug* I wore it at a wedding in a nice suit and it looked amazing. White sports band (waiting for my pink one still)
