As you have seen the watches, the housing of the Sport edition is it scratch able? Also, the 38mm is it small?

I did consider the 38mm to be small. The 42mm was actually smaller than I thought it would be. You best try and find an actual size image of the watch and print it out.

I did not try and scratch the watch!

The Watch Sport are certainly more matte/less shiny than the Stainless Steel.

No photos sorry, I only have two hands.

I guess the Aussies didn't get the memo from the forum trolls that the Watch is a flop... they shouldn't be there! Someone, tell them, quick!

I haven't seen anyone mention or as this but can the sport take other bands? I wasn't sure if they made slight design changes to prevent this or not.

Yes it does. It is on Apple's OWN WEB SITE. Good grief. They don't sell you the other bands with the watch though, you have to buy them separately.

Nowhere on Apple's site does it mention the bands work on the sport. All Apple says is the sport has 5 different color bands to choose from.

All of the watches have the exact same case only made of different materials. All the bands are interchangeable with all the watches as long as you pick the proper size band (38 or 42) that's not saying it would look good but they all work.

That's what I figured but you never know with apple :)

Just came back from my try-on at the Adelaide Apple Store. There was about 30 people in the store and only a 4 minute wait for a try-on!

What surprised me is that although the store isn't one of the ones that will be selling the edition but they still displayed the edition in the display case.

If anyone else in Adelaide is interested in the new MacBook, they don't have any display models in the store

No Surprise on the Crowds - I'll be at the Grand Central Store Tomorrow

No surprise, really. As much as they are looking to get people to buy online, there will be a limited number of appointments and a huge interest in just seeing the device.

Will be fascinating to see how Apple does in the Wearable Tech market. The products in this arena are a little ahead of their time but Apple may have timed it right. Proof will be in the public acceptance and the sales.

We're trying to get an appointment for tomorrow and I'm dropping by the Apple Store in Grand Central since I pass through there every day.

I was about the 3rd person in the local store and have had a look at the whole range and to be honest was a bit underwhelmed. The thing that surprised me the most was how light it was and the actual size felt a lot smaller than I thought it would. To the extent that the 42mm may be a little too small for my wrist [reasonably big guy].

The Apple staff were amazing and very professional.

I got to spend about 10 minutes with the watches and basically my overall impression is this :

Anything except the sport watch is too expensive for what it is [basically a gadget]. I am an fashion, Apple and gadget person [probably the perfect target market] and I am a bit on the fence right now whether to get one or not [probably will as can't not get it :) ]

As I say the sizing is great for medium to small wrists but I think it will look a bit odd on a larger mans wrist and mine is borderline.

The speed of it was fantastic, and is very fluid in operation. However the big question I had when playing with it is - What do I actually need this for.......

Also the premium materials used actually didn't feel as premium as I thought they would. Yes, it is a quality object but I was expecting more weight in the Apple Watch and the polishing of the steel actually cheapens it more for me, in a strange way. The Milanese strap with the Watch actually felt a bit tacky and was my top choice until I saw and experienced it.

Maybe I had higher expectations than I should have but I guess that is Apples fault for building this up for the last 6 months ! Anyway I am sure you guys will make up your own minds as this is a personal choice.

For me it is most likely the white Apple Watch Sport 42mm and buy a black strap.

It's a surprise there is a line. It shouldn't be any lines at all. Didn't they get a memo from Angela Ahrendts?

I guess even with so many precautions and new booking management, the excitement and people interest are still overwhelming. And the watch is not even officially for sale.

Quite the contrary. They got the memo from the forum fanboys that the Watch is the second coming of Jesus!

A very perceptive person here on MacRumors said a month or so ago... the main purpose of the Apple Watch Edition is to cast its aura on the other watches in the case.

It's doing its job even if they don't sell a significant number.

A line?

I'm a bit puzzled. I thought I read that Angela Ahrendts was no longer permitting lines and had instituted the appointment system to help get rid of them.

That's the first thing I thought of when I saw the picture of the line in front of the store. I guess Angela isn't down under and they didn't get the memo on no lines. Im a little confused why they would want to kill the hype around a product launch. It seems like a pretty good tradition for Apple products. Most people who wait in lines see the launches as an 'event' and seem happy and willing to do the lines. I personally don't stand in lines but order mine online and have my iProducts shipped to my home. But that's just me.......
