iFixit today shared a video with teardowns of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Apple Watch Series 9, providing a closer look inside the watches.

Notably, the video confirms that the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is equipped with a 564 mAh battery, as MacRumors was first to report last week via a regulatory database. This is around a 4% larger capacity than the 542 mAh battery in the original Apple Watch Ultra, but Apple says both models have the same battery life of up to 36 hours.

The video also confirms that the 41mm Series 9's battery capacity is 282 mAh, which is unchanged from the 41mm Series 8.

iFixit did not find any obvious hardware changes related to the new Double Tap gesture coming with watchOS 10.1 next month, and overall the Ultra 2 and Series 9 have very similar internal designs as the original Ultra and Series 8.

iFixit has yet to share teardowns of any iPhone 15 models.

For anyone without an Ultra, the Ultra 2 is a fantastic watch. Some may justify it over the Ultra, and that’s ok. I am just thrilled with my experience over the past year with the Ultra, and I love that Apple brought the new Modular Ultra face to watchOS 10 for Ultra users. That’s my new favorite face. I think next year will be an Ultra 3 upgrade for me, especially if it comes in black titanium.

And the iPhone upgrade is so incremental all the advertising is on how amazing the titanium is. Lol
I came across a review this morning that said the iPhone 15 Pro/15 Pro Max will change your life due to the "significant year-over-year upgrades" over the iPhone 14 Pro/14 Pro Max, particularly the lighter weight of the 15 Pro/15 Pro Max as it "really make a big difference during daily use." Apparently, the iPhone 14 Pro/14 Pro Max were really "big and heavy" and felt "like a brick."

Thank god. My arm would get sore with my old iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Lol change my life? These reviews are funny. My 13 pro max is just fine. I guess I avoided the lead-coated super heavy 14 pro max.

What an uninspiring launch of products. Essentially no changes to watches, earbuds, etc... And the iPhone upgrade is so incremental all the advertising is on how amazing the titanium is. Lol

Maybe next year will be better.
This year I've only just upgraded my watch to series 9, but two things have already surprised me several times. How much quicker Siri is for certain things, and the brightness of the screen when outdoors. I'm happy with it.

I went from the ultra 1st gen to the 2nd gen and haven’t noticed any difference in battery life so far.

Lmao a very textbook Apple fanboy review.

Meanwhile iPad Pro won’t get much lighter regardless, and that’s the main device I am using.

It’s just been 2 days but battery life is improved over the Ultra, though a bit too early for final judgement
I thought the same with the Ultra 2. Then again, I remembered the Ultra 1 having better battery life when I got it. I think some of the updates made it worse.
