This year I've only just upgraded my watch to series 9, but two things have already surprised me several times. How much quicker Siri is for certain things, and the brightness of the screen when outdoors. I'm happy with it.
Which watch did you upgrade from? When I went from the Series 4 to the Series 7, I thought it was a great upgrade.

Yet people here are convinced that it’s worth spending $1000 for an iPhone that’s 9% lighter.

Isn’t it nuts that Apple charges $800 for a watch when $1000 gets you a phone?! Wake up people!!!!!!!

Personally I think the build quality on the ultra is miles ahead of my iPhone pro

But it’s Apple, it’s all over priced, for the price point it should be user serviceable and made in the free world, or at the very least Europe, South America, or Canada

Lol change my life? These reviews are funny. My 13 pro max is just fine. I guess I avoided the lead-coated super heavy 14 pro max.
The 14 Pro Max was my least favourite iPhone since the super bendy iPhone 6. It was just too heavy. The 15 Pro Max is far more usable because of the weight drop and the change in how it digs into your palm and pinky when using it.

I wish they sold it without the haptic engine ( it takes up so much space ) and used the extra space for battery. Having a once a week charge would be MUCH more useful for me than the haptic engine.
Love this idea. The haptic taps can be truly annoying, which is why it’s off for me.

Newsflash, premium mechanical watches that last seemingly forever costs more. What’s your point?

Vintage warbirds cost even more, you see the price of a P-51D these days?

But what’s that have to do with the price of the tea in china

Comparing a Apple Watch to a Rolex or Omega or the like is too far off the reservation

The price of Apple goods is stupid high considering it’s mostly slave labor chinese made stuff

Go compare how and where and whom makes a Swiss watch to a Apple product and report back

What an uninspiring launch of products. Essentially no changes to watches, earbuds, etc... And the iPhone upgrade is so incremental all the advertising is on how amazing the titanium is. Lol

Maybe next year will be better.

It's hilarious that the same comments were mentioned on here about the original AWU...those commenters were furious that it contained the same SiP as prior years and had no offline maps, "missed opportunity", "I won't be buying until the SiP is upgraded" etc etc.

Here we are a year later with updated SiP and massively increased neural engine performance allowing on-device Siri and enabling a whole host of future new functionality, increased base storage from 32Gb to 64Gb, ultra Wideband with precision find, brighter (and darker) screen, and the ever important "offline maps".

Average Mac Rumours forum members "meh".

Apple’s R&D budget is higher than the entire Swiss watch export revenue, how are they going to make the money back?

The chinese slave labor helps

Plus I hear wages at the African lithium battery mines are pretty cost savings

Also R&D? It’s a cool gadget but it ain’t exactly cold fusion 😂

Funnily enough, the haptic taps are one of the main reasons I even own an Apple Watch. It means I can leave my phone in a bag when out and about or in another room and not have to worry about missing a notification.

My Ultra 1 arrives tomorrow. So excited to upgrade from my Series 6. I’ll watch the evolution of the next few generations before I upgrade again.

Why would there be new hardware to support something that has been around for several generations? This is some lame reporting 😂

great, I can now justify spending another $799 for 4% more battery
I was on the fence whether or not to upgrade to the 2. 4% bigger battery I am sitting in the rain waiting for the Apple Store to open

23 hrs on the series 9 and I still have 52%. Always on display (ON) and not using any power saving mode. 😧

I guess Apple's plan to get $2k for

Very few people asked for a brighter screen. Offline maps is an iOS 17 feature I have on my 13 Pro Max. Very few people said they needed a faster iPhone. Very few people needed more storage (plus they are charging you for the "more base"). Etc...

I mean, the more you buy, the more $$ I make lol. So I am happy folks are paying for this stuff. But, honestly, the phone's upgrade is so minimal they have to focus on the metal it's made from in order to distinguish it in the ads.

I think the haptic engine is a necessity, especially as it gives another form of feedback which is especially useful for those who are sight impaired or hearing impaired.

I’m impressed that my Ultra battery health is still at 100% after one full year. My 14 Pro was down to 93% after just 11 months of use. Will be making use of the 80% toggle on the new 15 Pro.
