I wish I had read this thread before buying my apple ultra 3. It worked for about a month, then suddenly a "No SIM" message. Same issues setting it up again - get the AT&T unlimited wearable plan, go through the motions for setting it up, then it goes back to the watch and says "Plan not in use", then I have to delete the plan and try again. Still, no joy. Of course with Apple's crappy return policy, I can't return it, I can't get it to work on AT&T and I'm stuck with a $850 phone with no cellular service. Corporations suck.

You can’t return it? Apple has better than industry standard for returns - at least where I live.

I know more than a few people who left AT&T and were much happier. Good luck.

I know, I've compared return periods that Apple allows for other areas of the world. Here in the US, the corporations pretty much own the government, which is why we have such a dismal return period, have to give up some of our rights to purchase an Apple product (the right to take them court, except for a small claims court), and generally have to buy products that contain so many disclaimers that the actual 1 year warranty is virtually meaningless (no quality warranties (except for manufacturers defects, in a very limited scope, no fitness for purpose warranty, etc). Corporate ******tification has pretty much ruined things here.

If I had to do it again, I'd buy the watch from Costco, which will accept returns for a longer period on Apple products.
