Battery life of more than two days?
It would be amazing if the battery in the Apple Watch lasted at least a week, but I don't know if that's possible. If there is one thing about my Series 7 I don't like it's having to charge it every day. Charging it while I sleep is not an option because I use it to measure my quality/quantity of sleep.

Unfortunately, that's not good enough for some people. You reminded me of something George Carlin once said. Something about if you don't like what's on TV, just change the channel. I wasn't aware of this feature, so I appreciate you pointing it out.

I'm not really sure why I'd want 5G in an Apple Watch. Battery life, perhaps?

LTE has a much longer range and tends to be more reliable overall. It's slower; but I don't know that I ever really need fast data on a watch. And it still has access to my 5G equipped iPhone most of the time.

I dunno. I suppose in a scenario where I'm in a sports venue that has a robust 5G microcell infrastructure and I don't have my phone on me and I want my watch to still work over a cellular network; where the LTE towers are congested and almost unusable? ...I guess?

To be fair, I get it, it wasn't going to be LTE forever. But there's very little updated with the Ultra 2 aside from that; and that alone hardly seems to be a compelling reason for an upgrade.

Can’t wait, my Ultra 1 has been super sluggish for over a year. And on that same note, I’ll be super disappointed if there isn’t a new SIP in there

Apple Watch has not seen a compelling upgrade reason since 7. (In fact, you could say it's gone backwards because of the removal of blood oxygen feature due to patent disputes.) Blood pressure would be awesome, but the real killer app will be blood sugar monitoring. Rumor has it that we will see it in the next 2-3 years, and will eliminate the $1000/year price tag of the dexcom device. I don't need either one, but I'll upgrade if they appear.
Until then... sticking with the 7 until it dies.

This whole Apple watch business has been sinking for 2-3 years now. People probably aren't stupid enough to be fooled by another exclusive watch face together with AWU3, if any. Also, the Apple Fitness app stands still while the competitors literally bend over backwards to add new features (Garmin, Coros... even Samsung now with their Galaxy Watch 8). Sadly, but Apple as always, missed its chance. For now the only thing that saves them is the cellular connection in their watches and a good connection with the entire system. However, things will change quickly when Garmin finally introduces LTE/5G to its watches. Honestly, I can't wait for it ;)

How to improve the Apple Watch Ultra: Apple should make Watch Ultra truly standalone, without any dependency, not requiring other device to setup and use. No, I do not want an iPhone; even for free! Free your mind and your hands! Allowing to install any application including web browsers like Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Edge, etc. Add a camera to read QR codes, etc; best if it is telescopic rotating retractable camera in the crown neck (protecting from dust and sweat, besides privacy). Then I am sold, even for 1,000 USD or more.

I really think the watches have peaked because I can't think of a single feature to put on a Wishlist

In the meantime you pay the same if not more for less features. You really think Apple is chasing that SP02? They already cashing in with or without the sensor😂😂😂

IF a new health sensor is not offered, I will not upgrade. It's been far too long already with no new health sensors.
The other listed updates are fine but not convincing for me.
I also don't consider 5G a necessity but more an evolution...

Oh, and most importantly: SpO2 MUST come back
There’s not likely to be new health sensors anytime soon, since the technology to provide any of them accurately from a non-invasive wrist mounted device doesn't exist, and might never exist.

They have made the bezels smaller on the Series watches several times - The Ultra could use that, so we would get a bigger display in same case. And more battery life please - if those two are present I will instantly upgrade.

The battery life doesn’t seem to be a priority for Apple on either models though. Just keep it the same all the time is a poor strategy when the competition has better battery on all models
Already get stellar battery performance on my Watch Ultra - better than 36 hours.

I run every day and need to charge my Ultra 1 before going to bed every day. I run from 8 to 18K a day with 25-27K in the weekend and I’m not even close to being able to go two days

The Ultra 2 should already be better but would like 4-5 days with my use

the technology DOES exist, Samsung released a smartwatch 2 years ago with BP, it was not accurate and needed calibration regularly, and it was discontinued after 1 year.
It has been in multiple reports here on MR that BP will not give you actual measurements but trends, that is what I expect to come this year.
And, technology for non-invasive blood sugar measurements exists too, just for that it needs to be a medical device and therefor undergo regulatory scrutiny's and that takes time, a long time ...

Technology evolves, think thermometer for a second where it has gone from putting it into your behind and nowadays pointing it to your forehead.
