Or stop caring what others think of what you're wearing? If someone is staring at you to see what you have on, they have the problem. It is creepy of them.
First of all, I made a statement about what I like to wear and the fanboys came out of the woodwork, bosoms heaving like that of an enraged lion, to protect Apple as per the status quo. Moreover, and I sense that you may be timid in your personal interactions, often times people enjoy when you notice and even compliment them on something they are wearing. If you need to “stare” to “see” and are as fearful of others as you seem to be then yes, I would agree that is “creepy.” Or perhaps “cringe.” No cap, obvi.

this is what I’m trying to tell people lol.

all you have to do is look for your second or third favorite band combo, hope that delivers on launch day and then on launch day check your local store availability for the band you actually wanted.

the bands are the reason for the delays and it’s not like they can’t be changed out.
I checked and Best Buy and other outlets do not even have the black/grey band for pre-order, further cementing that it is a band issue. Actually - it is a product management issue because they clearly underestimate how many people will want the marine band over a more subdued band on their watch that already has an obnoxious orange button.

I guess "ultra" is the new buzz word to open peoples wallets. I just can't see spending that kind of money on a watch that will be slow and laggy in 3 or 4 years and useless in less than 10... give or take a year or 2. For that kind of money I would buy a traditional watch with real craftsmanship that will never be obsolete or out of date... and time.

yup. I do think a lot of stores will have the bands on launch day when the Watch goes on sale. there’s always separate stock for walk-in in-store, Apple Pickup and delivery.

That’s what I did, bought the just okay band and the band I wanted still delivers with it on launch day so added that to the cart. I do want to snag that orange one but will wait to see it in store before committing the 100
yeah I got the orange Alpine with mine although I really wanted the gray Trail. wasn’t a big fan of the orange Alpine in photos, but we’ll see.

I was able to order the Ultra with Startlight Alpine for 23-Sept delivery and separately ordered the Blue/Gray Trail Loop but got notice for a 4-Nov delivery.
I wanted the trail loop, but went with the exact same band to get a Sept 23 delivery date. I figure soon there will be a ton of Amazon deals for 49mm bands that will be similar to trail loops. $99 seems a bit steep for a band.

I did exactly what you did. I want this in 2 weeks not 6 over a silly band color.

Okay fine I will. I’ll change it expecially for you. Anything else in the Apple line you’d like me to change now that its all in production while I’m at it?
Yes, clearly this was directed at you specifically and not a comment on an alternative party they could have taken. That tiny button will be pivotal for some people who lose their watch under water - clearly easier to see than, say, an orange band with significantly more surface area. 🙄

I've treated the $49 bands as a nice splurge, but just can't bring myself to pay $99 for one. That being said...if I'm only going to own one official $99 band, I'm fine waiting for the style/color I want. (and I'll be on vacation when it's released anyway, so the later delivery works out and gives me something to look forward to after the vacation haha)

Some people pay attention to details? It’s the philosophy at the heart of “make it as nice on the inside as it is on the outside even though people can’t see it.” Also, I gave one example. Also, if you were wearing a Hublot King, for example, I don’t care what suit you are wearing I’d notice it. A sleeve is easier to hide than a massive watch. But hey, you can feel about it however you want.

Sure, it seems like any AW violate

Sure. But it seems like any AW violates the tenets of horologists’ watch rules. 🤷‍♂️

As a current Garmin owner (Tactix Delta, Epix Gen. 2) and a former Apple Watch owner until 2017, I can verify. I've been wanting Apple to do this for years. There's a market for these. It's niche, yes, and I'm not some kind of Sahara explorer or someone who goes 20,000 leagues under the sea. But I gym daily, hike, walk and in general want LOTs of data about my activities and my health. Apple finally delivered. AW Ultra ordered and due to deliver on Day 1. Super glad to be back.
We need more people like you in this forum, God bless lol
