Apple Watch Ultra Orders Delayed for Some Customers

But I don't have a tracking number from apple yet. Prob. get it EOD
Don't need it - sign in to my UPS, then click tracking/all shipments. Mine's in there (in KY now). The Apple store still says 'preparing'.
I think mine got left on a plane by mistake at one point. Glad it wasn't lost completely!

Doesn’t matter. Ups app tracks by name/address. If label was created, you’ll see it in the app.
I did that and no packages to my address.
To be fair I have had a preparing state on past things and they would show up the next day, I'm not worried. its no big deal if off by a couple of days.
Too right. Plus, I would assume (if ordered from Apple especially) that if their website still shows delivery of September 23rd, it should show up then. I assume my dates would have changed if there was going to be a delay?

That’s odd. Usually packages will always show up there before you receive notice of it shipping.
You seriously don’t think that Apple knows who the people are that are going to buy this watch? Apple knows that people like to over-project about themselves. And many people will convince themselves that having a rugged watch will inspire them to do more. And then there are all of the apple fanboys (obviously many of us) who simply want to see/feel/experience a totally different offering from apple.
I’m an avid hiker but in reality I could easily get by with an 8. But I love the titanium case and the ability to easily add waypoints on a journey. And I’m admittedly a fanboy locked into the ecosystem. They got me hook/line/sinker.
That said, I’d bet the return rate on the Ultra will be much higher than many other products once people get it in the hands (or on their wrists).
the email showed up this morning. The package has been in Louisville for days. It shipped on the 17th and I never got confirmation. Maybe a glitch in Apple's system. It is still not showing up as an in bound package on the UPS site under my account oddly, but I have the tracking number and can see where it's at.
My original delivery date was 9/29 - 10/6 and was pushed to 10/6-10/11. Just got a shipment notification this morning and being delivered 9/28 now!
My push back was pushed up. Delivery date of the 26; I'm still checking local stores on the 23rd 🤣
I’m in the U.K. delivery date was 28/sep, money taken out earlier today with delivery tomorrow.
Another date change. My previous delay from the 29th to the 4th has now been bumped back up. This time to the 28th, a day before the first date range I was given.

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but this seems like the correct thread for an update.
My watch was originally scheduled to ship around October 10-11...I actually specifically ordered a few days after the pre-order date as I wanted it delivered to my new house (I move in October 3).
I then ordered an extra band...scheduled to deliver October 5-8...perfect.
THEN...both get pushed out 3-5 days when this article was posted. I was bummed since I now want the watch, but no big deal.
Then this weekend (Saturday for the band and last night for the watch) I get updates from Apple saying BOTH will deliver THIS WEEK! Before I move! The watch band notification came first, but UPS isn't updating the delivery info yet. Fortunately for the watch itself, they updated the delivery info and I was able to delay delivery until I actually close on my house.
Looks like Apple is not only catching up, but delivering earlier than expected for those that placed orders after the Fridat pre-order date....at least in my case.

That was the initial date, I ordered 3 days after release … I had an email today saying they’re waiting for stock and I’ll be first to receive it once they have it … in 1-2 weeks ugh
