For anyone else who has the Apple Watch Ultra and has tried the Wayfinder face, is it working for you? Based on this Apple promotional video, the face has a compass that goes around the circular watch face and updates in real-time. It looks super cool, but mine doesn't do that. It's just a blank red circle. Anyone else?

I think Lat/Long is the compass feature? But yeah, I can't get either to work. Weird, they got mentioned in the reviews as working, I'm pretty sure...

Hmmm... My Longitude and Latitude won't update. It's been "updating..." for a pretty long time. I do not have cellular service turned on for the Ultra.

Thank you for this thread. I’ve been too busy admiring how good my old bands look on the new case to read the user guide yet and was thinking that I needed to troubleshoot that face. YAY, I finally have a compass! (coming from a Series 4)

edit: and wow, now that it’s working it’s sort of fancy new toy from Santa cool.

What are these green dots suppose to be and why don’t they show on my watch with Wayfinder?

I figured out my problem. I could see Lat / Long in Compass but it only said “Updating” on the watch face. Turns out that I turned off (set to Never) location services for Apple Watch Faces on my iPhone.

Thank you for this thread. I had the opposite issue where it was displaying the compass and I couldn't get the date to display on the top complication unless the screen is in the always on display screen (when watch is basically in sleep mode), tapping on the circle part worked! :)

I do like this face, but MY GOSH the numerals are very very tiny indeed and nearly impossible to read. I’d like a face with maybe a few fewer complications, but larger over font on the important digits.

don’t say boomer, it’s X’er to you!

And the following was pointed out to me on the Apple Developer's forum. I put in a bug report on the the Wayfinder watch face. Note that longitude has N after the angle. I think this image is in their guide. Not possible except with buggy software.

Nice catch! I was thinking it might be from not activating the cellular service, but I was wrong.

You need to tap the face (literally on the circle - not anywhere) on the watch and it changes.
Thanks for this! Great solution. It is still an error because, logically, if you set the bezel to hours or minutes or whatever it should carry over from the settings to the watch face. If you select "bezel" "none" then it should not show the compass or elevation at all but it does if you tap on the bezel which is confusing.
