As a recreational runner and avid Garmin user, 36-60 hours is perfect.

I just need that sweet GPS to be accurate.
But you’re not going to get 60 since you won’t be using it on low power mode due to your running. Therefore you will have 36 in theory. But the way the rotation of the planets work, that will actually be a 24 hour charge cycle.

No issues for your run, but don’t kid yourself about having 36 to 60 hours.

Mkbhd had more than two days, two nights and 20 percent left in the morning of the third day in his use. Check out his video. That is third day charging, not 24 hours.
 
I love how people say 'Not enough battery for me'. I recall some analysis from Strava data showing the typical Garmin Fenix user does an average run of 35mins, cycle of around 90mins. Less than 4% of Fenix owners did triathlons and of those that did, less than 0.2% did a half Ironman or longer.

I think Apple will be just fine.
