That's basically the only thing I use my Fitbit for anymore as well.

Prior to getting the iPhone 6 Plus, I used my Fitbit religiously. That sucker was always on me tracking. I lost the sucker several times and the company replaced it. It's missing again, somewhere in the house but I'm not even worried about it any longer.

While I love my Pebble, I'm going to the Apple Watch. I will be one of those guys who pre-buys it on 4/10/15 and picks it up at the Mall of Georgia Apple Store on 4/24/15.

Just an FYI - there was a Pebble watch update last night (OS 2.9.1) so this could potentially fix some of the disconnection issues written about in this thread.

Every update they release says something about connectivity issues....going on a year with my Pebble and have always had connectivity issues since day one.

In fact, I jailbroke my phone at one point, downloaded background manager and forced any pebble related apps to always run. Still had connectivity issues, despite the global override to allow apps to run continually. Also downloaded Smartwatch+ off of Cydia to grant my watch additional features not normally available through iOS.

That being said, the pebble is a nice watch and I have enjoyed having it overall, however, functionality cannot be compared to the Apple Watch.

Different strokes, for different folks, I am willing to give up sleeping with my watch to have functionality. As of right now, my fav thing about the pebble is the alarm in the morning, allows me to have an alarm and not wake up my 4 month old...but having a watch that works best while I sleep vs one that works best all day????.....hmmmm, but hey that is just me.

And I'll take my chances with my daughter waking up to have an apple watch lol

I seriously considered the pebble but was put off by the fact it didn't address the read status of messages with the phone. Meaning I'd have to re-read all the incoming messages again upon unlocking.

...yea - that is one thing I wish the Pebble DID in fact do. When a message comes in you read it on your Pebble and then dismiss it, it also clears it from the Lockscreen of the iPhone HOWEVER, the message STILL shows the blue dot of 'Unread', when you next go the Messages app. It should have also cleared this blue dot as well, but it doesn't.

I just read them on the Pebble and then dismiss them from the Lockscreen and then when I am next in the Messaging app, just re-read them again to clear the blue dots.

My wife and I joke and cut up with each other all the time; going on 15 years this summer. Different strokes and all that.

There is a big difference between joking with and being mean or rude. Telling your spouse to stop bothering you is not what I consider nice or a joke.

Yikes. I'm afraid to tell you how my wife and I pick on each other then :D

lol yeah no kidding. My wife and I can be quite mean to each other sometimes. But it's generally all in good fun, and she and our daughter are the lights of my life. I have, however, told her to stop pestering me on more than one occasion, or to stop spamming me with texts about things I don't care about.

I managed to snag an ' Early Bird' Kickstarter pledge for new Pebble Time, before the campaign ended

Doesn't ship until May though unfortunately. Seeing that I currently have a Pebble Steel, when I finally receive my new Pebble Time watch, if I REALLY are not happy with it and the Apple Watch gets some awesome reviews (they'll be a ton of reviews by May time seeing that its out next month!), I'll be able to sell BOTH my original Pebble Steel AND the newer Pebble Time - which will leave me with enough money for an Apple Watch...!!!!!

;)
