Sorry, micro led would be a downgrade to me. Things should be ,owing towards OLED, not away from it.
you are confusing micro with mini
As suspected, Apple will adopt micro-led to the small displays first because of its price. But it will impressive still since the micro-led pixels are very hard to be decreased in size. Nowadays only big displays are micro-led

The problem is not the price it is the limited battery LIFE. Airpods are throwaway products and not worthy of a "green" company like Apple!

It seems many people confused with Micro-LED. It's totally different from Mini-LED. Simply Micro-LED is much better than OLED without burn-in. Micro-LED is the ultimate display technology and even Samsung is trying to mass produce Micro-LED asap. Micro-LED already proves better than OLED for large display market. Price is expensive and making Micro-LED, especially a small display is very difficult. Laptop display should be possible but not iPhone and Apple Watch due to pixel density so I wonder what they are up to.

I´m so tired to lsten tbat this watch is xtreme guys, desert, mountains, blablabla. The only sport i make is see tv series. But I LOVE the long long battery, and the speakers and microphones, Full Stop.

By the way, more o less same price as my Apple watch steel with milanesa. But battery es 3x longer, at least.

ultra is already 1000€ in Europe, micro-led + bigger display would be 1500€ easy

I think it will be at the same price. maximun a 10% more.
right now micro-led is SEVERAL times more expensive to produce than OLED so lets say example 1 AW oled display costs apple 100$, micro-led 500$, do you think Apple would eat that cost? Of course not, customer pays for that + margin

The micro LED 2024 Watch is probably predicated on that cost difference having shrunk quite a bit by then. Apple has long been rumored to have multiple R&D projects/partnerships working toward this, and AFAIK there aren’t any fundamentally intractable hurdles for micro LED, so it’s conceivable their efforts are finally starting to bear fruit.

Apple acquired Micro-LED developer LuxVue back in 2014. I wish you were right, but with high production costs and low yield around 50%, its gonna take decade for prices to be as OLED is now.

A few of the more recent rumors have sounded—to the wishful thinker, granted—a little closer to production-scale steps. Besides, this is a little bit harder of a problem than shoving Dark Sky into the Weather app or replacing all the logos in Primephonic, and even those things are taking a while… 😏

You can buy wireless phones from very reputable audio brands for less than half the price of the base Air Pods.

This Christmas I bought some XM4s to offer which are pretty good to say the least for less Apple sells the cheapest Air Pods (in Europe).

There is expensive and there is ridiculously overpriced.

they can't lower the price of Air Pods enough to get me to purchase these poor sounding buds sticking with my B&O buds best sound I have found compared to Sony xb1000

Apple should offer a program like PodSwap. They claim to have figured out how to replace the batteries in the AirPods and when you send them yours, they send you refurbed models with fresh batteries. I used them for my first gens and it worked very well.

Ultra is only 1.000 € (vs. 800 $) because the € itself tanked. This may very well change inbetween now and the fall of 2024.

No. If the price delta was (still) so high, Apple quite simply wouldn‘t release a Watch with micro LED at all. So either the rumour is wrong or your calculation of the price delta (in 2024) is wrong.
