The service strategy is that NO watch will be swapped in-store, all watch,s will be sent to the depot for repair.
Also if you want to swap your strap for a different color that is also handled by the online store no IN Store swap will be allowed.
Initially... I doubt Apple will let its best customers wait days without their gadgets for days on end as a long term strategy.

Early Apple Watch models were found to have a hidden diagnostic port used to allow Apple engineers to diagnose problems with the devices, but reports at the time were unsure if the feature would be included in models shipping out to consumers. Apple Watches have now arrived in Australia, giving us our first opportunity to further investigate the diagnostic port.

A report from TechCrunch has speculated that this diagnostic port could also potentially be used for smart band accessories in the future, but it is unclear if that is something that Apple is planning on introducing.

I would love to see that port used to add a TouchID element (assuming it couldn't some day be integrated into the screen). I know you need a code to activate the watch when you first put it on, but if that could be replaced with a TouchID pad, that woudl seem very much more Apple-like, and would also increase the security associated to making purchases.

True, serious watch users will need that level of security.

What do you mean? They were available to order just like the other colours. Lots of people got them.

I figured that they were in short supply; I ordered one at xx:03 and I still haven't been charged, and I hadn't seen anyone who ordered that model confirm that they had, either.

I've seen them in a lot of unboxing videos, though, so I guess it's just luck of the draw.

I think that was more about when you got your order in than anything else. I was lucky enough to have my order go through 1 min after they opened pre-orders and got my black one on Friday.

Would it open with an iPhone sim unlocker?

It looks larger in photos but is absolutely tiny. Probably a tenth of the size of the sim tool. Smaller than any pin I can find.

Maybe, but someone in the forums says that they ordered one at xx:43 and got theirs on launch day; who knows?
