I had to actually get up, walk to the window and check the weather manually!

The humanity! 😢
Quite hard to check the expected weather for the next 3 days through the window, luckily enough there’s other providers so I can prepare for my 2 nights in a tent accordingly

Not sure if it’s related but notification badges on my iPhone and iPad just disappeared and stopped appearing for all apps.

iOS version not working here in Newcastle, Australia. Luckily I have a weather station of my own, and other sources.

Apple is the king of buying something that worked great and turning it into hot garbage. Way to go... "It just works."

I have been tracking this storm; looks like a massive derecho storm incoming around 8pm in Toronto. Apple Weather still hasn't alert anything due it is downed. 💀

The Apple Weather app appears to be experiencing an outage, with some users seeing it fail to load or take 30 seconds or more to update to the current conditions.

There are reports about the Weather app on social media, and we've also confirmed that it is not fully functional for some users, but Apple's System Status page is not reporting an outage as of yet.

We'll update this post when the Weather app is functioning as normal.

Update: The iOS Weather app appears to be back up, but the macOS version is still down.

Update 2: Apple's System Status page is now reporting a Weather outage limited to next-hour precipitation in Alaska, but the Weather issue appears to be much more extensive than that.

Update 3: Apple has updated the System Status page again to confirm an outage that started at 2:10 p.m. Eastern Time. Apple says that the Weather app may be slow or unavailable.

Update 4: Apple removed Weather from the System Status page, but the Mac app continues to be down and the iOS Weather app loads slowly.

Thanks a lot Apple I check the weather to see if cool enough to go walking. The app is saying 85 degree okay hot but tolerable. Go out and as soon as I was in out of the shade I was dying. I was dying and had to cut my walk short and get home. Once home I check Weather app again and get the --. so I go online and check weather.gov it's was 101 degrees dam.

It's not only Apple Weather facing issues – the weather on the whole world is facing issues ;)

Amazes me how simple things like Weather and Alarms continue to trip up a 3 trillion dollar company. Apple needs a major refocus on software quality.

Speaking of weather apps, anyone else hate the watchOS weather app now days?

Before the watchOS 10 update, it was elegant and simple and gave me the info I needed (temperature and conditions throughout the day) on one clear display.

Now it has way more data in it, but it’s far more complex to access. It feels like you have to scroll though 5 different screens just to get basic info. I don’t want to have to scroll through humidity and wind speeds etc just to get temperature or conditions, every damn time!!

The colours are also ugly with poor contrast so it’s harder to read than before.

Wish there was a way to get the old watchOS weather app back! Is there a 3rd-party solution maybe?

Company: Wanting to advertise the 9 9's of uptime
Also Company: Not correctly or honestly advertising their uptime percentages/outages in a timely manner
Also Company: Removing the module with the outage from the Status Page altogether

Status Page: 99.9999999% Uptime
