Great. Now, either remove the 750 limit, and/or improve the darned interface for deleting them. Doing so on an iPhone is absolutely brutal: every change makes the phone reload the entire list of aliases. You can't delete in bulk. It's horrible.

Yep, Apple fired all of the usability experts, now it is just about how to get something that can be announced at the keynote for the least amount of cost. After all most people that use Apple devices no longer use critical thinking to judge Apple, instead it is about the bling.

Now Apple need to deal with the false advertising of unlimited HME accounts which in reality are limited to 750.

It’s a terrible vendor lock in experience having to constantly have to prune assigned HME addresses that are still needed.

Been paying since day 1 for this and only after you have assigned 750 addresses do you find out that’s the cap and you have to delete 1 to add 1.

I genuinely don’t understand, aren’t Apple’s private emails easy to recognize?
You can’t block a singular domani but wouldn’t it be trivial to write a regex that recognizes private relay emails?

Actually, I know for a fact it is because I tried to sign up for Revolut with my Apple ID and it straight up told me I could not sign up with the “hide my email” option selected
I had to redo tue Sign in with Apple and disable the option to proceed

There's the private relay emails that are used via Sign in with Apple, and then there are the Hide My Email addresses, which are just random emails tied to your account. The private relay ones it can detect because they use an "@ privaterelay dot appleid dot com" domain, but the Hide My Email addresses just use "@ icloud dot com."

So Revolut or whatever random site would have no way of knowing the difference between "MyActualEmail @ icloud dot com" or "RandomHideMyAddress @ icloud dot com."

The change Apple was going to make would have allowed those sites to easily differentiate between "MyActualEmail @ icloud dot com" and "RandomHideMyAddress @ hide my dot icloud dot com."

They're random words and numbers/charaters like "Cloudy_ramshackle05," but they all use the same @icloud.com domain that regular iCloud email addresses do.

So a site currently can't block the Hide My emails, because they have no way to know whether that random "dust_carbohydrates5 @ icloud.com" address is one that a person chose, or if it's just a random Hide My address.

If suddenly that email address became "dust_carbohydrates5 @ private.apple.com," then the sites would be able to just block anything that uses the "private.apple.com" domain.
