They seems to run out of refurbished 3rd Gen iPad Pro and they gave me a 4th Gen (A12Z) instead. I was pleasantly surprised.
I envy you.

I have a 2018 iPad Pro 11" A12X but it sadly has a cracked screen so no replacement for me.

Did I read that right that they gave you a 2020 iPad Pro 12.9" A12Z? That's not bad considering $119 + tax.

Correct. But to qualify for the $119 "battery replacement" price, the battery health need to be below 80%.

No problem-o! After7 years of constant use its battery is <80%.

Heck I had past iPads that could've benefited from this program as well

- 2010 iPad 2 16GB
- 2013 iPad Air 16GB

The 3rd Gen. iPad Pro is in "vintage" stage, which means Apple may or may not provide service, depending on parts availability.

Unfortunately, your iPad 2 and iPad Air are already considered by Apple as "obsolete", and they no longer offer any service to them.

Yeah, I asked ChatGPT about that last month when I had the idea out of the blue.

My idea was to apply for iPad battery program 1 month prior to obsolete/vintage of those specific iPads.

Then everytime it hits a month before obsolete/vintage then apply iPad battery program again.

I wonder if I could keep doing this every 5-8 years ;)
