Do you know how you would watch a movie on a tablet? The laptop base acts as a stand. What about the tablet?

I have a hard time imagining a 13" or 15" tablet. Actually, I have a hard time imagining them being useful. To me. And the cost! No way those devices would be out to compete with/replace netbooks or e-readers.

But 10" - yeah, that's a concept I can understand. It'll be pricey, but it's the sweet spot in terms of size.

Well 13" and 15" could be geared more towards productivity and graphic design if they would allow stylus input like the Wacom tablets. It would have to run full OS X though. An iPhone-esque type of OS would not work for that of course.

I can't wait for the 13 or 15, depending on the price, of course!! but im getting one for sure!!!! :D

I just don't get the usability of a tablet that big. Anything that you can't hold in one hand and use the other hand to control doesn't make much sense to me. If you need to sit down to use it, or have to put it on a table or on a stand then I don't see the point of it over a normal laptop with a keyboard.

Very interesting, if they are going to do that then they must feel that it can compete with a conventional laptop rather than just the Netbooks. I really hope we get to see the tablet sooner rather than later.

I love and hate Apple Tablet rumors, lol... sick that we never know if it will even be released but excited that the product could be revolutionary~

Wow - that's like learning a new language.

agreed, it'd be one thing if there was a worldwide switch to the Dvorak keyboard layout (only in this case would I consider it worth my time to learn it), but considering how massively widespread the QWERTY layout is, not to mention how hard it would be to alternate between the two, I honestly don't see any point...

as for the new tablet rumor- *groan*... until I can actually hold one of these tablets in my hand and use one in person, it's all just speculation.

I can't. Some people still need a physical keyboard.

The larger sizes have got to be basically an iMac with tablet functionality. You put it on the stand, it synchs to your keyboard and mouse via Bluetooth and you've got a desktop. Take with, and it becomes a tablet. I'd bet that Apple will even come up with a media subscription service for it. One subscription will give you access to all you can eat music and movies for a flat rate. Ignore what Jobs said about subscription services--Apple will make it so compelling that it will be irresistible. Indeed, maybe Spotify music would be part of the deal, which would explain why Apple is allowing what seems like a competing service on the iPhone. If Spotify is the future, and the rave reviews its suggests it may be, there's no way Apple will let itself be left out of that loop.

I don't think I'll be too horny to buy right away. Do you know how you would watch a movie on a tablet? The laptop base acts as a stand. What about the tablet? I watch allot of movies on my laptop. What about game play? No keyboard for commands like crysis, COD4, etc.....

Well how about a nice fold out adjustable stand for a nice view and how about some nice voice recognition? ;)

Why would only one of those sizes carry the full OSX?

I imagine it would be the 15" but then what would the 10" and 13" be running and what would be the difference in usage and intended audience between them? It would make more sense to me if only the smaller one had a dumbed down OS because at 13" that is the size of a macbook screen, so people should expect full OSX.

I wouldn't be surprised if the tablet + stand + bluetooth keyboard is the new paradigm and macbook replacements. Still don't get the "only 1 full osx model" though.

Perfect Day

Wow. Snow Leopard and a rumour of a 13" full OS X Tablet. Could this be the best day of my life?

On Television: Up next an hour long episode of M.A.S.H.

Yes!

I think a 10" tablet is a cool, for the touch factor, but I don't think I would really have to have it. Unless of course it has full OS X, can interact with my Mac Pro, can replace a cell phone, and is more than a few hundred dollars cheaper than a macbook. Otherwise, I'd probably just buy a macbook. Actually a smaller macbook would be perfect. I said it before and I'll say it again: I'd pay full price for a 8" macbook with no CD drive. I just need something small, with just enough power. If I can touch it, that's cool. If not, I'm down with that too.
