Last time I checked a couple of mini-LED displays status this was discussed in 2022 and 2023. Example https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...id-to-launch-in-october.2345315/post-31113170This will easily be over $2k for the basic model. Over $3k with a decent stand and nano-texture.
Back in 2023, Young claimed that Apple had been working on a Studio Display Pro with ProMotion technology, but Apple allegedly canceled the project. Young at the time said that Apple wasn't working on another 27-inch display, but Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has maintained that Apple plans to launch some kind of display in 2025.
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has confirmed the rumor of Apple's work on a 27-inch mini-LED display, and he believes that it will be coming in 2026.
Where?I just found a hell of a deal on a like-new Studio Display, it replaced my old LED Cinema Display and it wasn't a priority to buy. I'll circle back when Apple offers a 32" OLED Studio Display, 6-10 years right?
eh if the new one ends up being THAT good you can always sell itunfortunately just bought one ...
yes - anyhow I won't hold my breath until the new one arriveseh if the new one ends up being THAT good you can always sell it
or return what you bought and buy something else in the meantime
Why this 27-inch format again...
Can't they do maybe a 21:9 ultrawide or something a bit different or at least bigger?
It seems like you need 120Hz minimum and 32" to be competitive. You can get a 32" 21:9 or 35" ultra wide for under $400 that has 120Hz or more. Apple is digging in their heals on refresh too... they know most people will buy it regardless so why spend the money and decrease profit margin.
I’ll settle for 32” if it is 120hz.36" please, 27" is small and dont want to buy 2 of them.
Personally, I love the 27" size. I tried a 32" display a couple of years ago, and at that size I have to "reach" for the corners. I don't care about the times, but I care for my own comfort27” still!? Come on Apple. Get with the times.
I bought it for $1K on a photo forum that I frequent. It's like-new and came in the Apple box.Where?
It’s not USB-C ports, but additional vídeo inputs what is missing.Studio display does 2 out of three. Unfortunately, there is no way to change the brightness without a keyboard.
There are three UBC Ports running quickly if you have at least an M1 Mac or better.
Hell, if you hooked up a Macbook Pro, you'd have 3 USB TB 4/5, 3 USCB C (I think 10 gb speeds) an HDMI and SD card reader.
What additional connectivity do you need? Assuming you use one TB port on the Mac, that gives you 5 other ports, HDMI and an SD card slot reader.
Three 5K is nice, three 6K would be nicer, but for affordability, nothing like a 57" Samsung 8K2K on the market. Unfortunately, not built out of 5K panels, but cheaper than one Apple Studio Display.it's why something like 99% of the setups you see out there for owners are almost always 1 Studio Display and sometimes you see two.....and then you get the ultra rare 3 setup yet Apple marketing shows off 2-3 monitor setups quite often.

Others in the marketplace make wobbly and creaky plastic displays, so they don't count.Affordable?!?!?! They jack you up for that monitor then bend you over if you want basic stand options like up and down!.... Have a look around at comparison pricing in the marketplace and you’ll quickly realize why you are walking so funny and why it’s so painful to sit down in front of your new rig.
Nope...Apple doesn't recognize the PC market
The mini-LED displays are 120hz on MBPs. So this just speculation that been stated for last 3 years not a valid rumor, but Gurman and Young bringing it up again and again as a thought. Just consider it never happening. It’s DOA without pro motion
