I don't think Ives has the capability to understand what you wrote. In his mind thinner is always better
(even though physically, he is thicker than he used to be).

They're not going to replace the keyboard design. They might make a third gen butterfly, but I don't see it going further than that.

I think a nice compromise between thin and decent travel is the magic keyboard, but I'm not holding my breath they'll incorporate it in the MacBooks.

That's unfortunate, considering how useless the MBP is with the current keyboard.

Whatever Keyboards they have in the MacBook airs should be the standard for all their products. Most comfortable mobile keyboard I've ever typed on.

I agree with that statement.

Sadly, I suspect that keyboard has gone the way of the USB A port.

The tapering of the design is also a major thing for me. The Macbook Pros are flat, but I’ve always preferred the slight incline. Apples desktop keyboards all do this also, not sure why they don’t slightly taper the MacBook Pro (other than the uniform thinness obsession).

One of the main reasons I bought the retina Macbook over 13" Escape Edition Pro is the tapering. Ive loves his sharp edges, and the non-tapered MBPs rub my wrists raw.
