Im not 100% sure on this. OP you said that they sell, get feedback, then return it after 90 days.
1) How could they return it after 90 days? I dont know about return policies but....
2)They cant return it. What code would they give you? If they open the box then they cant return it.

Well, okay then.... just keep on wringing your hands and knashing your teeth until you know for sure you're safe and didn't get ripped off. You can't do anything about it now, so why expend all this energy on something that may or may not happen? I guess some folks don't have anything else to do and something like this gives them a thing to focus on. In the meantime, calm down and try to enjoy your computer. There is an extremely good chance that your AC is okay- or better yet, you'll never need to use it.

And yeah, I'm sure you got the message out to the masses. Those that read your thread have been warned!

Well, I'm off to buy some Applecare on ebay! I have a new MBP and even though there are a few scams to watch out for, I still think it's a really great deal when you consider the savings vs the risk. Cheerio!
