I assume if I have a device that’s older than 4 years old, but still has a yearly/montly AC+, it cannot be moved to this?

Also, do you pick what devices are the 4 included, and what are additional? So add all my devices that are expensive in standalone AC+ (MacBooks) as the 4 devices and then add others for 5.99

I did not claim EU rules were identical to what Applecare covers. Theft is not a big worry for me.
No worries. I was just pointing out that it includes a few extras besides issue coverage. The only time we have used it really is once my wife dropped her iPad in the tub. Yea, she was shopping and soaking and it was not up to me. Ha.

If the device is currently under apple care, it can be moved to apple care one plan.

If true, good for customers from the region. I am waiting for it to launch in my country. Might not happen any time soon.

Maybe someday I will need this, but before that day is here EU warranty laws need to get worse and my home and travel insurances need to start excluding all my electronics.

I hope this means they’re bringing theft and loss protection to Ireland. Currently only the standard AppleCare+ is available.
I am in Ireland and I have the theft and loss protection on my iPhone 17 Pro. It's €14.99 a month.

How did you purchase your AppleCare policy? It’s not an option when buying an iPhone from Apple directly here, only standard AppleCare and only as a one time purchase.

Do they include theft replacement? If not, this option includes that in addition to the warranty service.
Not to mention: if your device b0rks abroad, apple is there for you in quite a few countries. Normal warranty also does not cover that. And tjis extends the warrant period byond the usual 2 years. (tehnically, something like a Mac would get longer warranty, but it's a hassle to prove you're not at fault, not to memtion the accidental damages thing)
