So, I purchased AppleCare + with my new iphone 6s pre-order and I just got my 'welcome to AppleCare+ email'. Awesome. I have my serial number...great.

But, what it says is that my AppleCare is now active and will expire in 2 years. It says it went active on September 21, 2015 and will expire on September 20, 2017? But...I don't even get my phone (presumably) until September 25? Why is it active now and though, the odds of something happening in the last 4 days of the AppleCare + contract are slim, it still strikes me as odd that it's activated as of yesterday and expires 2 years from that date.

There's already a thread on here about this. Summary was that it would be updated when your phone is activated.
